1H knuck or 1H Dagger?

Hi guys, Im a newbie on this game and I really wanted to have a decent build for my 1H Build.
Im currently at lvl70 and I am having an interest in using Knuckles or Dagger as my Sub.

Im having problems on what skills to use as well.
I currently have this skills:
Sword Skill:
Hard Hit: 5
Astute: 10
Trigger Slash: 6

Sword Mastery: 10
Quick Slash: 10
Sword Tech: 10

Survival Skills:
Safe Rest: 5
HP Boost: 10

Battle Skill:
Attack Up: 5
Smash: 5
Crit Up: 10

I don know if Im on the right path with my skills.
I only have 1 reset for skills and I dont want to waste it.
Can you guys help me out with this.

I think ur skill build is pretty safe for now. Maybe my only concern is trigger slash lv6, as that will cut mp usage n will render trigger slash unable to be used as save combo bridge (wait... U understand about combo right??)
Now between knuckle or dagger as sub.
Knuckle gives u access to useful stopper skills, u'll be able to cancel most bosses' area strike anytime u want, adding a chunk rate of survivability. And of course, knuckle will grant u access to one of the best physical skill at rhis time, Triple Kick.
Dagger, on the other hand, is yet to show it's shine with the skills set. Their active skills are weak, with it's most damager (gattling daggers) requires u to stand still for a good 3-4secs which is a dangerous call for boss battle. But don't cut dagger out yet. While dagger skills will probably leave u disappointed, they have wide arrays of useful substat that contributes to ur character 100% (knuckle as sub will not give u their atk stat or substat, only increasing flinch rate). Def penetration, atk mp recover, critical/dodge/evasion booster, n many more that u can get from dagger selections.

 

hi!! what dans said are all true.. and also triple kick swords rocks ^_^... anyhow what matters most here is what is your playing style? are you stubborn for only using sword skill or your open with using hybrid class... welps doing 1h knucks makes you hybrid since you use 2 types of weapon skill tree...

 

Hello, as I said, I am new in this game so I am looking for some good advice on what to use for the sub and as well the skills needed for this kind of build.
Apparently Im gaining more interest in using Knuckles than Dagger.. but before i reset my skills, i would like to know all the details on what skills should I take.. I mean all skills

 

thanks for the info. so it means should i reset my skill and make my Trigger slash to lvl5?
do you happen to have some skills for me to add up if im going to use Knuckles as Sub?
and if possible can you also discuss with to the effects of combos?
i was trying to read some guides but im having troubles understanding it since im just new in this game.
im really confused or dont have any idea on "smite"," consec", "save" and others when doing the combo skills.

ohh good choice then... i believe theres a thread about sword fu (1h knucks) and all the things you need to know is there.. i think the owner of the thread also included video so you can see how the toon performs

are you sure its MP? not HP?

 

At this current point, Knucks shows more potential. Dagger tree has disappointing damage multiplier at this point. With you being new, an important factor would be practicality. I think 1h + knuck will produce a more practical character for the time being.

 

hp+100 is dropped by that plant in arco map right?
so if im not mistakenly remember, mp+100 is dropped by roar in ruined temple. have u tried it?

 

100mp at voda and roar (blue roar at lutaros cavern(?))

 

yeah i tried it earler and it dropped HP lols
roar drops HP and voda roar drops MP.
