Greetings to all, it tis' I, DeQuantum. So recently, I'm looking through some rather old stories I made up some months ago. Since these stories are just sitting there, collecting dust as time goes on, I've decided I might as well share some of the stories for you guys to read and hopefully enjoy.

For my first of my collection, I've chosen one of my favorites; The Nomad, a science fiction character that comes from the year 2416. The character is a enhanced-samurai terrorist (no need to fret, he's a good terrorist) with demonic capabilities. Without much to add on, let the story begin.
    -----
Cherry blossoms danced along the gentle breeze of the wind as the full moon ascended over the horizon of distant city skyscrapers. The blossoms either faded away from sight as the breeze carried them away, or they landed upon the still surface of the pond that was seemingly a perfect mirror. Close to the edge, a grotto stood as a small flow of water poured through its crevices and into the pond. Sitting upon the grotto, surrounded by lanterns and bamboo, a samurai sat with his legs crossed as he held a katana in both of his his hands, one of them being that of a prosthetic. The samurai's armor shined in the light of the lanterns, as it reflected the beams of light off its green, metallic surface.

Through his horned mask, the samurai observed the surface of his blade, shining in beauty, mesmerizing him. He paid no mind to his surrounding environment, which remained calm and untouched by no one but himself. Nobody in the world knew his location, not even the government systems, for he was well hidden in the dense jungle mountains, far from the city. It's one of the reasons he was considered that of a critical threat level. That, and his combat was unmatched by any residents on the planet. A group of 100 well-trained miltary men could take on the samurai, only to return home with major injuries that would remain to be permanent scars, that's if they even came home alive.

The gentle breeze surrounding the garden soon became a rush of wind as the still pond finally became active, the blossoms dance became disturbed, and the bamboo bent in a single direction. Looking up from his sword, the samurai observed a frigate descend from the starry skies above, passing over his secret garden as it prepared for a docking sequence to the city on the horizon. Standing up from the grotto, the samurai sheathed his katana to his side and leaped onto the grass. He watched the ship shrink down in size at it went further away, until it was but a small spec in the distance as it lowered down into the city. With a rather low sigh, he switched his view from the horizon to his prosthetic (right) arm, which blended with his armor. Through his mask, his right eye was also prosthetic with built-in enhancements, which he used to scan his right arm to run a check-up of his technology before engaging in combat.

After finishing his observations and check-up, the samurai folded his hands together in front of him and lowered his head. Breaking the silence surrounding him, he began to recite a prayer through his robotic voice. "To the gods that have aided me in past times, let my sight be true, my feet be swift, my stealth be unseen, my sword remain unbeaten by all. If I am to die, I am to die with honor and no selfish pride as I ascend to four gate of the earth. I am... The Nomad, your sword of justice as I wield the blade of blades, Masamune. May you guide me through the obstacles that block my path."

With a bow of honor, The Nomad ended his prayer. It was time for his mission to initiate.
