About the new Exp Boost Update

Hello fellow friends, I have a question that needs an answer. It is about the new Exp Boost Update. When I first read about this update, I was ecstatic(no more nc farming!). I hurriedly went to an area with monsters that were either 4 levels higher than me or 4 levels below me, but I stumbled upon a weird situation. Why is it that sometimes I just get the average exp? Boss and mini boss gives more exp and better you use and stack exp books like libera III etc.

In older threads people showed 1 to 2m exp per kill with exp books stacked

 

Better try +/-3 lvl closer to you.
If the difference between you and boss is 4 you only get 3x the exp while if the difference is 3 you get 7x the exp.

It works according to this chart.

 

The main reason you are getting subpar exp from mobs is most likely due to the kind of mob you are farming. The harder it is to kill a particular monster, the more likely you will get more exp. As an example, in "gate to another world" map, between killing a green planethead and a blue planethead, you gain significantly more exp from blue ones. they are harder to kill, and have more hp compares to their green brethren.
