Best class for Tech> Dex?

Most of the people suggest go for bowgun, staff is because both equipment give you 4 ATK per point, which is much more better than Knuckle or 1H that give only 2 ATK per stat. But I would suggest you 2H because 2H gain 3 ATK from STR, yup it’s lower than bowgun and staff but STR give Critical Damage.

From skill side you can go for Enchanted Blade build, the damage didn’t nerf just the motion is slow. The reason choose enchanted blade is because you need only impact+finale(23sp), enchanted blade(20sp), Warcry(22sp) and get a backstep(6sp), the rest up to you.

second reason is odeleon still cheap right now, this crystal until now still is a most powerful damage boost crystal, and it’s normal xtal which mean can attached to all gear.

lastly is because the hell reaper, High damage with high critical rate, easy get 100CR.

basically yes, the only thing need to consider is how to regen MP only.

If not going to craft, DEX is not needed, beside every 10 point STR give 1% success rate as well.

Dex is for raising Item difficulty level when crafting ALCHEMY items, fyi.
Another way to do Tec-dex Alchemist/refiner is to have BowGun+MD. You get the benefit of MP Charge+Maximize so you wont need decoy shot anymore.

 

Newbie here. Is it a good idea to go full tec-dex mage? Saw yt guides about bs/alc/tamer. Would like your thoughts on them

 

no atk, very low matk, no bonus multiplier.
the only benefit is high cspd for support skills. accuracy is irrelevant as you don't have the means to deal damage, even with additional magic.
as a strict support caster, you also need to be tough at least, so you will survive and can revive party members. not possible with this set-up.

TEC doesn't affect taming, so there is no benefit in slapping tamer skills on your production char since it will take the rest of your scarce skill points and make you unable to fight.
a tamer needs a little power to weaken higher level monsters for capturing.

 

Oh yeah..
Bowgun only needs one stat for power too *^*)

At earlier stage because you have not much SP for combat skill, HH>Warcry(s)>enchanted(am)>ended is the best because it’s require less then 60 sp for this combo. You can ended with trigger slash for motion boost on next skill and AMPR regen; replace HH with backstep is another choice.

After that you can go for HH>warcry(s)>flashblast(c)>eb(sm)>tigger(c)

for huge-Dps can go for impact>eb like usual but impact didn’t help much on MP saving but proration control only. You can go for meikyu>Eb, it’s still is 4Mp-150% damage and give some extra CR on eb. Beside it’s you got learn skill 2handed, you just need another 1sp for meikyu, instead of spend 23 sp for impact & finale but this make limitation on combo setup and long combo( because cannot use finale as ended).

 

Just share some damage on the mention build, except armor is using ornlarf and memisia, all other is using odeleon.

the damage is deal after several proration and with warcry+flashblast .
