Can't determine what to use.

Hello,
Been playing for four days and found it rather fun.
So I'm a die hard-fan mage user in all game that i had played in the past 10 years.At the moment,i'm level 41(doing main quest) and right now i couldn't really determine what weapon to use.
I did a bit researched and asked in the facebook fan group but apparently after waiting for 4 days(since i start playing),i couldn't get an actual asnwer since no one were actually replying to my question.
Read a few guide,including one of the famous dps mage guide however since i'm new and couldn't really get those staff,MD that they mentioned previously in the guide so i decide to ask here hehe.

Right now,I'm using a mace of destruction(80 atk) if i spell it correctly haha xD and got into a nisel wood/Bnuts farming party today and everyone told me to get a MD but when i asked them which one should i get?They told me IDK,lol.
So any suggestion on what MD to get and does the atk differ from using a staff?I mean generally lower magic atk?I came across this girl with a synthesis MD(starter MD but look like a butterfly wings) and she can't really recommend me a MD.
Right now i had 20k spina from selling the Bnuts i farmed with her.

 

MD give in General less MAtk And a wider aoe (area kf effect) so u Hit more Mobs at a time (reason why ppl use it for Mass farming and Staff for Bosses).

• Anyway good MD r: Empress Soul (From Empress Boss In Tomb)
• Jade Wings (Jade Raptor Boss)
• Elfflame *fire Element, so 25% more dmg against earth Mobs expl. Shell Mask (Sofya BS craft, Mats r easy obtainable)
• Elsand *earth Element (BS craft or dropped by Serpent *forgot which map*)

 

Just start with an pretty easy to get md, like Empress MD is a good one to start with if you can get it. a really easy to get md is from the butterflies in ruined temple town, it doesn't have great stats but its something to start with before you can get a better MD.

it is not good for dps, but storm gives 6tick instead of 5, so aka if u use md, u can farm more mobs than staff
staff is mainly for higher dmg and dps .u.
md gives lower matk than staff, they are normally used to farm, or become a 'magic brawler' (since equiping it gives extra dmg from brawler skill tree)
md base attk is much lower than staff. if i remember md only has abt 40+ base attk (i forgot base attk for anniv, but for jade wings is 47)
as for staff, base attk is much higher, eg anniv staff is 87base attk

yep md has generally lower magic attk, but good for farming xp

as long as you can kill the mob, any md is fine
if u equip md and cannot kill the mob, best is that u get a element md
^ as mentioned by norc .u., element mds are:
eflame (fire)
magic klug (water)
halloween bat/whirlwind/jade wings (wind)
irogen (dark)
crystal wings from astol boss (light)
elsand (earth)
for netural ele : empress soul

easiest to get md is magic klug, take a quest from forf (the boat guy in sofya), quest requires u to kill ghost. report to him after u kill it, and he will give u a magic klug

 

thats not half bad actually using mace

  Does the stat matter?Or it's just purely for the wide range for farming?

Back to topic,
I would had need a blacksmith account to craft a MD xD

it just gives a boost

 

So..any idea on the stat for magic klug you speak of?Tia
And does element really matter or a neutral MD would get the job done easily?

 

depens on ur int and other gear.
if u can't Kill Mobs with an md try to get a Element one or get stats which increse INT or MATK

 

only know one of the stat is water element.
can u one hit kill the mob with storm? aka one tick=it die
if u dont have storm, i suggest u better get a element md, since it adds 25% dmg to the opposite elemnt (eg. water>fire>earth etc...)
lvling is the best option :") with it, just get to 70 and get storm, and u can settle everything with neutral ele MD

My only issue now it leveling,i try my best to get to 70 asap but main quest getting harder and harder. TwT

 

lvl with bnuts and nisel woods .u./
as for mq normally there will be some pp at the boss, so just try to get a pt there .u./

 

If theres no other players around to help u on ur Main Quest just get a Mercenary.

Very useful u should bookmark it, you should be able to find where to get a decent magicdevice but i would recommend Empress' MD

Manage to get a decent empress MD,farming became so much easier haha.
Skyrocket from 41 to 48 in an hour,woo such a good run tho.
