[Discussion] Is Aggravate & Strong Chase Attack the bread and butter of a brawler?

After making and testing a couple different brawler builds with and without aggravate/strong chase. I came to notice the difference that it makes to have them especially on a full Agi brawler build. The faster I was the more chunks of health I could take off of Bosses with aggravate/strong chase. In fact, I dare say 50% of my damage came from having these two skills to level 10 and me just regaining my bars to execute combos. Also strong chase attack gives you free guard break and very often at level 10 compared to level 1.

I then came to realize this is why brawler rank is given to those that auto attack. I think Aggravate and Strong Chase Attack are the bread and butter of brawlers while their skills are to control the enemy. I was wondering how other felt about this idea and ideas on how best to build a brawler built on this concept.

Yes. Every time your Aggravate procs, theres a chance that Guard Break will occur. If you want to get it to proc alot, either get an intense dosage of attack and motion speed or garnish luck into your build.

When im farming with op lvl 90 party, ill just take out my lvl 44 brawler n auto atk.gets breaker every time hahaha

 

how often does guard break proc with lv10 strong chase attack?

 

30% chance at level 10 if I remember correctly.

 

Only use auto attack and no skill able to steal breaker from lvl90 wow

Yesterday I started making my ninja build (dagger brawler), and I made a post asking about relation between dagger skill dmg output and stat points

Unexpectly, one of the old member of forum then replied and told me that one of the adventage od dagger brawler is that, if u add dagger passive into to mix, brawler guard break will proc even more often, coz it increases AA number to 8 hit!

So I uped my passives and tested it on minotaur (coz i am only lv43 atm) and I love it xD

Not just the fact that I crit like crazy with all those guard breaking, but also the interesting dodge counter atk animation from equiping dagger

So yes those two skill are the honeymelon(?) of brawler skill and u can make it extra sweet by spending 20 skill point on dagger passive if you have extra to spend

How is the damage with this?
I gave up my dagger brawler as the damage doesn't even compare to DW, Snipers and mages.

 

With brawler, you can usually have the highest constant dps, it's like a minigun. Your atk dmg is tiny, but you make like 30 attacks in ~3 seconds. I can usually take attacker, breaker, and tank rank in equal level parties

 

Sir at level 70 I maxed out all of the passive skills for Martial Skills do you think my character is already messed up? Do we really need Godspeed? Like how big is the difference getting Godspeed?

There are so few pure brawlers in this game, I like to see them getting some use besides just using them for FU builds.

 

Yea, i decided to use my last spot n go for main hand knux dps lvl50 atm but aint that bad
