Nice guide! Hehe. Im such a big fan of DW even if others say it is not as good as others. But it gives me the most fun out of all the others haha. Also one question, what skills are classified as unsheathe attacks?

Hi! I'm one of the old school players of Toram. In fact, there are several ancient forum posts I made from way back when.

Any who, my question today is about the blade tree passives.
I notice you don't use any of them in your build. Wouldn't those passives increase your damage on auto-attacks thus making your build even stronger? Overall you would see a boost even to the unsheathe attacks build, but even more in the auto-attack builds.

    Thoughts are always appreciated. :)

    blade skill passives are
Sword Mastery which increases atk when using 1h swords. Which i get.
Quick slash which increases aspd by 100?, and why would i get this when a DW passive gives 500 aspd already. With agi and light armor, you could hit 1.1k aspd easy.
Sword Tech increases damage of Sword Skills. The only damage skill in sword skills is Astute. Trigger slash is more utility, so i dont see why should i get this just to increase the damage of one skill. Unless you wanna go Tempest.

And nothing in blade skills increase auto attack damage let alone unsheathe.

Ah. I must have missed the sword mastery passive. Well that all makes sense otherwise. Thanks for clarifying.

    Nice guide,
I have questions, does adding stability on main hand will increase the sub stability too? And the same if i add stability on armor?

    Thanks!

    Yup it does.
Also, stability for main hand will just determine how much your damage may deviate from maximum (at 100%, there's no deviation; at 90%, there's 11 possible damage values), but on subhand, it directly translates to more damage for DW skills.

Yep. Long Range Damage stat in general increases Phantom Damage.

    Question.
Why isn't the attack value of the second sword reflected in the stats? I don't understand what the secondary sword attack value is adding to if it isn't reflected / added to anything.

because its a sub weapon. conditionally there are sub weapons that have effects on stats like how md reduces atk by a % when equipped as sub.
consequently, even though 1h swords can be equipped on sub weap with DW. it still has the same mechanic as when equipping a weapon that can be equipped on main, as a sub weapon. like MD, and Knuckles. Their atk value isnt reflected in your stats.

So then how is the att value of secondary weapon important? Is there some type of hidden game mechanic where it adds att value to your secondary att only? My main character is a knuckle shield tank using drills, so doing dmg is not something I'm terribly familiar with. I'm wanting to learn!

cypherian, this explanation is made me understand something better. thanx a lot. if we compare str and agi, which one giving more aspd? I really want the breaker rank. And my str 100, agi 13. what should i do, do i have to improve agi? just like u said, str increasing ATK both but agi just sub. My dex 150. the difference(13-150) between agi & dex is so much. does it disrupt the harmony between main and sub weapon?

damage of secondary weapon for DW in this case is reflected in total damage, if you see how DW attacks with different stat builds, some attack show more damage on right/main hand than on left/sub hand, while some show equal, and some show more damage on left, than right. damage is based on atk and dex and str/2 on main, while atk and agi and str/2 on sub.

Actually, the weapon ATK (and refines) are "reflected" in your overall stats, but some of the stats are hidden (AKA not shown in the main stat screen). Subhand ATK, stability, AMPR, crit rate and crit damage... all of these cannot be seen except by experimenting yourself.
As for your question, yes there is some sort of mechanic; DW stats work two ways: main hand ATK is increased by 2 from DEX and by 1 from STR and AGI, while offhand is increased by 3 from AGI and by 1 from STR. Weapon and weapon refines also matter, but the refine effect is halved on sub.

Can someone please tell me that, if i have power wave magic skill in dual wield build, then when i do normal attack will it be categorised as normal attack or magic attack?
Cause in the skill description of powerwave it says and i quote:
"Shoot a MAGIC wave if the target is out of range"
