DW VS 1H....which one is better?

I want to create another char and confused about which one to pick
Even though both main weapon is 1h sword but I think they're pretty much different
Assuming they both have same lvl, which one is the best dps in lvl 70? Along with the reason if you can

Edit: Just same lvl not pure dex only, since I want to know about mage knight as well

 

Farm > DW
Boss/Mini > 1H
I have both at 70. Bossing on my DW is kind of pathetic. Not a great breaker.. not a great dps. DW is more fun to play imho. 1H is pretty much the ol' combo spam til boss is dead. Effective but not terribly exciting to play.
I suppose you could have the same build on a DW as a 1H, just run sword skills and take DW passives?

 

I have two DW chars. Both of them have all of the dual wield passives (control and mastery etc), but not goodspeed.

One is Full DEX and I treat them like a 1H user that specializes in 2 swords. Basically have sword mastery, and the attack skills from the sword skill tree.
Plus the dual slash attack from the dual wield tree.
Like HighLife said, it is a fun char to play, but not that great at handling bosses.

I also have a Full AGI dual wield that I'm treating as a brawler. I've been getting the brawler attack skills, and also have some of the sword mastery skills as well (so I can get Astute and Trigger Slash), but I need to level them up a bit more to be 'effective'.

Because of the dual wield tree though, both have a free 500 boost to attack speed which comes in handy.

Trick question- dual wielders ARE 1H warriors

If you're pure dex, all you are really comparing is your subweapon skill tree- shield, dagger, dual wield. Martial does full damage if you carry a knuckle. Shot is available if you carry an arrow (snipe anyone?). I refuse to acknowledge magic device.

I know I didn't answer your question, but I adhere to the idea Toram is a classless system and encourage others to think likewise

But if you see the stats when you gonna build dw, the stats recommendation changed as agi will increase the atk too unlike the other sub-weapon

Even if there's no such a thing as a class, there's still something like 'weapons holder' since the weapon you use will affect your build right? Like magic mastery, dual-sword mastery, shot mastery and Godspeed also many blade skill required their own weapons to have the skills in use/effect since not all skills is 'No limit'
That's true if the they're both pure dex, all I comparing is sub-weapon skill tree, nonetheless I still think it's important to know the wise spend of the skill points
I think dw won't work well if you don't max out dual sword mastery
Even if you mix up everything and become jack of all trades, but you'll become master of none
Since you're not only have one character, I think have each character mastering their own build is better
Thus I want to know which build is better

Ah. I read you were a dex build. My bad.
-dual wield has negatives to buy off. But astute/twin slash is tasty (and sufficient attack MP recovery to sustain spam). There are no lvl3 skills ever for dual. So what you see is what you get.
-shield also has negatives to buy off. It's tree is good but contributes nodda to DPS
-dagger is sneaky. Passives contribute small but steady damage. Skills are cheap MP wise (if not free). Biggest plus to me is you get all the weapons stats (chance to better yourself with gear every new map)
-knuckle. Talk to a knuckles about martial DPS (hint- less than game breaking)
-arrow has a dumbied down version of snipe. Could be good. Could be great. IDK. Gears and chance contribute significantly
-magic device should not be considered at this point

Honestly, pure DPS is a poor choice for any of these. Build towards DPS but include a secondary function- be it farming, support, tank, boss control, break, status inflict, or simple aesthetic. Head to head chasing 1st attacker, I think dual wins more often than dagger (and dagger will still win often enough, and still has skills to unlock). The dumber than dumb arrow throwing though... I really hope snipe isn't all that, but early opinions (some practiced, some uninformed hype) seem to think otherwise.
