Fix for "Loading the necessary data" Freeze.

Alright so this is one issue I've been annoyed at for months. After over 15 Days of talking to Toram support, with over 60 Messages, I'd literally gave up on this game, all they ever said was "Clear data and cache" and I'd just be like "GOD i know! and i did that more times than i can count!" So obviously that didn't work so i tried to give it a shot myself and finally found a fix. Yayy! *drums beating*

So, this is quite a rare bug but it's annoying as hell, It just has you stuck at about 90% on the "Loading the necessary data" sceen forever!. So for those of you who have this issue or who might someday, here's a fix.

Basically whats happening here is that Toram downloads all your data files to your INTERNAL SD Card but then tries to read the same data from the EXTERNAL SD Card. So obviously it wont find any files in the ExtSDCard so it gets stuck in an Endless loop of "Loading the necessary data". (To confirm this, go to App Info > Toram Online and look at the "SD card data" field. It should say 0.00B or something like 3.00KB. This means that Toram is not able to read any data from the SD Cards.

To fix this you need Root access and an app from the Play Store called "FolderMount" Open it and it'll scan for any possible Read/Write Errors on your Internal/External SD Card. If it says it found an issue, just press OK and it'll fix the permissions and reboot your phone.
After its done rebooting, go through the following steps. (Warning: FolderMount messes with your Storage Permissions and some of the System Permissions, there's a very low chance that you might brick your device or lose your data. Attempt this at your own risk.)

1. Open FolderMount
2. Tap on the "+" Sign at the top right
3. Enter "Toram" in the Name Field (or anything you want duh)
4. Tap on the blank field under "Source" and Navigate to your "Android/Data/com.asobimo.toramonline" on your EXTERNAL SD Card and tap on the Check mark on the top right.
5. Tap on the blank field under "Destination" and Navigate to your "Android/Data/com.asobimo.toramonline" on your INTERNAL SD Card and tap on the Check mark on the top right.
   
6. Tap on the check mark on the top right to save the bind directories.
7. Tap on the Slider Button to activate the bind and ta da~ you've just fixed it. Now you can beat up stuff once again~

To confirm the fix, go to App Info > Toram Online once again and the "SD card data" field should now say "121MB" or whatever the amount of Map data you have downloaded.

or u could just move toram to phone storage , it might be because ur sd card is laggy(?) or buggy/scratched whatever , had this problem too , solved it when i moved toram to internal storage

Nope, i tried moving it to Phone storage too but nah, didnt work.

 

XD i end all my Threads and Mails with "Cheers" its just kind of a habit now

 

i mean from settings > storage > default write disk (switch to usb/internal storage ) not from setting> apps > toram online

 

A lot of phones don't have that option, esp if theyre on Lollipop. Nevertheless i did try changing my default write disk with adb. That didn't work either haha. I spent a month trying every possible fix for this

hi @Namikaze , i have the same problem stuck at loading page, my phone not root so i cant use the folder mount & i dont use sd card. Any suggestion how to fix?

 

Had same problem but fixed by signing in a new account (with different email), then it'll somehow loaded everything after that I just sign into my main in-game

 

Noooo...why does it have a risk lol. Have you try after removing toram-you cleared your cache-then delete files that unnesssary to your external storage? That zero bytes your saying is probably garbage from old toram after deleting(surely you put the app to external storage thats makes you 2 datats from toram).also after reinstalling toram dont ever transfer the app to your external/sd card let it run first- internal memory should have free 500-700mb, if less the app will stop downloading and ends crashing-this may cause other app to go loco also. Commonly causes of stop loading is the low connection due to bad weather, due to many people using your wifi-restart wifi for this) in data probably network error. Device is old-if you see putom waggling his ears but loading bars stop...let it be,your in safe,if not moving..close the game and run again..
I had this mostly if i reinstall the game.. the last one ends me 2 days (TT) after that i just update the app,ill do reinstalling if something risky happens.
