Gear advice?

I'm running a mage with every single stat point poured into Intellect. I just hit level 70, maxed out Impact and Storm right away so farming will be much smoother. What's some good gear I can hunt/buy? I currently use some cheap user made versions of Twilight Dress, Sage Staff, Layered Magic System, and a Philosopher's Ring. Also a Car Tiara. It was all so far ahead of the gear I had I didn't pay much attention to the details but now I feel I'm ready to seriously upgrade.

 

cat ear hood for cspd is prettu good for farming.

 

bexiz staff for neutral bosses cspd+500
sage staff for earth
aunigma or curled horns
outerworld armour

 

Should I buy these from the board or hunt them down? If hunt, where do I find them?

Also, about pets. I vaguely recall hearing that some pets will get EXP without directly entering combat based on their personalities. Any details on that? My pet rarely gets to hit anything, sadly.

crafted sage is better
aunigma boss drop(ECB)
outerworld Armour (NURETHOTH) is both boss(slightly better) and npc

don't use em much
genius pets avoid the aoe so they don't die often
