Greetings, new RPG player here!

Hello there! As said in the title, I am a player completely new to this kind of games. I have always been a fan of games with good character customization properties and that's how I found this game. I started playing around an hour ago, choosing Halberd as my starting weapon (which was obviously not a good choice for beginners like me). After leveling up a bit, I started poking around a bit and started contributing stat points. And I'll admit, I pretty messed up. It turned out too bad that I couldn't even defeat the boss colon myself

Tips would be very much appreciated for such a noob as me. Thank you!

There are many guides on all classes and other features of the game in the guides section of these forums, do check em out as they'll help u learn abt the game. While I'm not new to the RPG genre, I'm new to Toram Online and the guides have helped me out a lot. ^^

Sure thing ^^ Check out the post titled "Kariin's Awesome Guide of Guides" in the "Toram Online Game Guides" section. In that post, check out the "Skills & Combat" and "Quests/Emblems" categories. I'd post the links directly but I keep getting an error for some reason.

For tips on Halberd class, check out the guides in "Class Discussions" section under "Halberd" category. I won't be able to direct u to a specific post since I'm an Archer. ^^;

For making Spina (In-game tradable currency):
Play a few main quests and unlock the Minotaur Boss in Ruined Temple. Farm the boss for Minotaur Skins. You can sell it in 2 ways:
1) Sell them as Minotaur Skins at around 1k to 1.5k Spina (usually 1.3k as far as I've seen).
2) Get a side quest from NPC Lefina in Sofya City called "Proof of Courage". You'll need 3 Minotaur Skins for it, give them to Lefina after accepting the quest and you'll get an item called " Anti-Degradation" upon completion. You can sell it for 4.5k to 5k+ Spina to others.

In addition to Minotaur Skins, u can also sell other items that the boss drops like Damascus Ores, Minotaur Horns and Minotaur Hoofs, u can check the prices at the Consignment Board, that's where u can buy/sell items.

Search for the site Coryn Club, it has a lot of useful info too. (Again, it won't lemme post the link for some reason)

There should be guides for newbie players here in the forums, you can go check them out, to be honest I started the same as you, i messed up my stats but i realized it much later in the game when i was lvl 126, so I was forced to delete my 1st character that i spent so much time on and make a new one lol, you're lucky that you realized it just when you were fighting boss colon as that's still in the early stage of the game and can easily be redone, one of the advices that i can give you that's also mentioned in one of the guides here is do not use your reset book, book of oblivion, revive droplets, and other very rare stuff early in the game, you will need them later on, those are rare items you can't easily get, only use them if you've gained enough knowledge and experience of the game, if u die from the boss just go to town, walk back and pick easy mode and fight again, also try to join a guild that can help you, you can get access to strong guild mercenaries for free that can fight alongside you

 

Yes, I watched videos on YouTube about halberd builds and that was when I realized I have placed my stat and skill points on the wrong places.
I was told that I should only delete my account once I unlock new skill levels, which is Lv. 30 if I'm not mistaken. I am now Lv. 23.

A lot of things have already been mentioned so I won't say much. If you are gonna delete a character, make sure that you don't delete your highest level character without having another one on same level so you won't regret it.
Also, since they have provided an info about the combo system, might as well give you another one for the aggro system this time.
