Halberd, DW and bow

My main is an archer, because i like range. But recently, i went to the anniversary arena gold, and my snipe pretty much poked the boss. Then i died, and my party leader using DW pretty much brought the boss down to 10% hp, ALL ON HIS OWN. And i'm like HOLY S***, PHANTOM SLASH IS SO STRONG.
Then there was another time, i was minotaur farming. My snipe poked the boss, and some guy with a halberd just killed the boss in 3 hits (using sstab), and im like HOLY BEEP HALBERD SO MUCH DMG.

Now im starting to doubt my sniper. Is the damage of the other classes stronger? Or is it that the players were much stronger than me?
I need help to compare the advantages of these 3 classes.

 

Imo it's just the equips

 

let me give you the quick run down
halberd>bow>dw. in that order.
your gears are obviously lacking if u got outdpsed. bow archer is in a good spot right now, focus on hitting yur snipes before the other classes spam cause that lowers snipes damage output by alot.
halbeds have advantage of being able to use strike stab much faster then u can snipe so they will usaully win.

Stop hating your own class lol
If you think you are lacking damage better yourself get better gears switch around skills dont just say that other class is "stronger"
I own halberd, archer and 1h all of them use same armor, add and ring also same refine weps I can mention bosses where 1 class is more useful/better and other 2 arent likewise for all 3 of them.
Every class has their own strengths and weaknesses so dont judge them because of the damage you see done by other players.

 

By numbers alone halberd would win , but the thing with snipers is that they could be used on almost all bosses and perform very well even if it's a high eva , dodge ,& mobile boss , and they perform especially well if it is an event arena.
Halberds & dw on the otherhand suffer quite abit if the boss is really mobile af as they would end up doing a marathon instead of dps-ing and of course the evades and grazes affect them quite alot too.

 

If you're comparing raw stats, DW is (arguably) one of the weakest classes. They're hard to use right, but can get comparable results to other classes if used correctly. DW are the blank slates; they can fit any role but base DW are mobile and reliant on dodge to do extra damage.
Archers (I call them snipers) are actually easier to use in harder content, due to the high damage from snipe, and the bonus armor break debuff you get if using a bow helps ignore enemy defenses. You're also usually in the back, which means you won't get hit. (Unless you're fighting Event Empress. Woo boy.)
Halbreds... they're broken (as in ridiculously powerful at this juncture). Full stop. They hit fast AND hard.

When fighting the boss, do you do it solo?

 

All my char are made for soloing they got decent survival along with dps. So yep I would if I had free time or if there was a boost.
Some bosses its better to use 1h/2h(multiple boss battles e.g gold arena) for some its better to use mages(low mdef bosses or extreme evasion bosses e.g daddy finpen or sg) for some its better to use bow sniper(high dodge bosses e.g tapir) and finally for some bosses its better to use halberd/stafffu/burstDPS(low proration rate bosses or low dodge bosses e.g. Warmonger, iconos, ifrid)
No class is best for all bosses in general.
People say halberd is top dps which is only because they compare damage done at one boss only like ms or warmonger
A similiar gear halberd vs mage at daddy finpen, the halberd will never kill it faster than the mage. Similiarly it will never win against an bow archer at empress nm+ or the event empress. It wont win against a 2h when its about multiple boss battle either.
In the end its still a fight of strongest gear not the best class.


Heres a video of me soloing gold arena will you say that 1h shield is OP? Definitely not coz its dps at other bosses is below average.

 

Generally, halberds are best for pure dps, but are a bit cumbersome and flimsy, while DWs are pretty similar to them, but they trade a bit of dps in exchange for more survivability. Then finally, archers/snipers, are also good for survivability because they can keep their distance, and if you can move faster than your target, you can remain practically invincible.

 

Nice solo. I think the problem for my archer is i cannot run from fast bosses (and die). Can't be helped anyways. Should start believing in archer class now. Thanks for reply.
By the way, your 1h shield sword tempest does more damage than my snipe. I think equipment problems.

 

Yes its just equipment trouble ^^ no need to rush you can get them at you own pace

 

I had a archer and I too thought it was bad but once I hit lvl 90 I started doing 90k-100 with npc equips

 

share your op eq to poor ppl like me please

 

in a NM or ulti boss battle, sniper can still out dps a halberd as halberd will tend to graze more provided that both have decent equips.
