How to deal with players that 'fall in love' with /want to 'date' you?

It's nice to be friendly to others but you also got to be able to stand your own ground when you don't want todo something/return their feelings.
I usually just play along or if they are continually trying to get at me (in the annoying sense) I'll flat out just say I don't like them. Me personally I don't mind if a person "likes me" in the sense it's just playing around between just friends tho. Say a person whom you pt with for a few hours/days now and you been talking quite a bit says "I like you", or say something along the lines "Awww~ that's so cute! I like you too" pause to send message "Buddy~ <3"
or I'll "Lol you don't even know me. What is it about me do you like? Oh is it cause I use a saxy revealing female character?"
but if they're serious, I'll just tell them I don't like them but I like them as just a friend or just an in game friend,
(nothing wrong with game/or net friends tho. Some of my BestFriends were just gaming/net friends at one point)

If they give you something that's their own choice so no need to feel bad if they gave you something, just be humble/gracious/thankful, if they expect something in return that's their problem. You have no obligation to like them back or give them anything just cause they gave you something out of their own choice. Just depends on how your relationship is to that person, I.E You're guildmates eventually you'll either get them something back as thanks or simply they let you have something they don't need and it could be of use to you.

TLDR: Just be upfront if you don't like them that way. If they give you something be thankful/gracious/humble.
