From every web novel, light novel, and novel translations I've read, most have harem elements.

Legendary Moonlight Sculptor has harem elements.
Zhang Long has harem-ish situations. Mushuko Tensei is full on harem. Rising of the Shield Hero is harem style too.

Maou Yuusha, No Game No Life, Martial God Asura, Against the Gods... I can go on and on, but basically, aren't they all harem style? xP

Only Sense Online, Man Picked up by the Gods, Knights and Magic, and No Fatigue are the only WNs I've read so far that don't contain any harem thing going on.

PS: Nobody should EVER tell me SAO or Log Horizon has no harem elements on it coz that is absolutely FALSE

 

Great, I asked because it would be easier to make specials if I added a harem tag to it. Summer special, Xmas special, new year special and Valentine special!

I dropped it once the author did that whole "MC has girl-trauma" thing. I understood that there is a lot of things it can do for plot development, but the way I read the author's note at the end of the chapters at the time, it was like he was saying "man, ain't I a genius, or wut", so it turned me off.

Usually, when that kind of thought hits you, you just put pressure on yourself then start running into more writer's block. I've seen a lot of web novel going into hiatus when authors display those sorts of attitude.

I haven't heard of it before.... and I didn't really mean it that way, more generation of spells and skills through movement.

It is like this, sure I have five chapters out already but I don't count the Prologue. The last chapter which is Beat the dwarf is the fourth chapter. I'm basically working on the chapter after Beat the dwarf.

Also remember that because I also play toram and(though not this week) have school it will at most only be updated with a new chapter once a month!

 

5th chapter is out(Prologue doesn't count) , feel free to read Moonlight!

 

I don't dislike this prologue of the story, but I don't particularly like it either. The beginning already has too much exposition laid out to us like a checklist. It's already the beginning of the story so you don't have to explain the entire world that the story is set in the first chapter. We already know too much of the main character and he's already coming off as rather bland.

So Hiroshima is basically you're average video gamer who's half Japanease and half Swedish. He has a family and all that jazz. So he's basically another Kirito or shonen protagonist. I wouldn't base my character off of Kirito since he's a wishfulfillment character, a Gary stu to put it bluntly. Please don't hurt me...Kirito is my trigger. Try not introducing his entire backstory.

 

Uh it means virtual reality massive multi-player online role play game, you got it wrong! Poor kid will go on living the rest of his life with that incorrect information that you provided him.

 

He isn't based on kirito and there are many stories that start like I have done mine. There are more virtual reality massive multiplayer online game based light novels/manga than you may think. There is legendary Moonlight sculptor, 1/2 prince, ark and a couple of others.

Sorry if the prologue didn't do you justice.

Lol I knew that, it is only easy to forget the reality part when writing it out for me.

 

It's just that the virtual reality stories are done to death already. They usually don't bring anything new to the table. I'm sorry if my criticism sounded too harsh.
