Knuckles questions

I know the main thing knuckles or brawlers are made for is breaking. But I hear alot of people saying not to use them. Why?

All the builds seem to be for tanking. Is the there not a good dps build?

Why are knuckles so bad for proration? Is there a way to
balince it out?

 

because knuckle dps is lower than other weapon. thast why people doenst like it.. typical player only want to have high damage.

Knuckle user is a good prorator, prolly one of the best prorator role with DW, with faster motion and disabler skills as well
its just, other FU build (1h fu, staff fu, gun fu and 2h) that using martial skills in their combo which makes their damage (and our damage) decreasing each other
(using same skill in a battle lower other skills damage - thats another application of proration)

 

I think I mentioned it in the past that when you are at character creation screen, you will see under brawler the word easy, which mean using this class is a breeze. Having said that, unfortunately not everybody has been successful on using it.

Breaker and tank rank are already relative to a brawler. There's probably an unposted dps build out there or why not make one?

Brawlers are good on proration, but there are builds/class that can't keep up, thus their usually damage is usually reduced.

Tbh, it is a balanced class with a very high survival rate. ^_^

 

I like the class myself. And it is very easy. But everyone keeps telling me to drop it and get a mage. Don't care for mages. Mostly just wanted some feedback and other points of view.

Would knuckles and dagger work well together?

 

Would adding something help balance that some? Anything with magic?

 

when u like a certain playstyle do it. you dont have to be on a mage bandwagon when you dont really like it in the first place. mages are really popular because of its AOE. fast xp fast spina farming also there is this staff fu which is popular for boss farm/mats.

Daggers are really compatible for brawlers. this subweapon has range skills, some daggers have %evade bonus on its stats so it adds to your evade. there are guides here for knuck-dagger build.

 

i have impact within my combo (as a prorator and as a cutting next mp skill)
as a brawler you have to keep your eye on proration during battle everytime. brawler playstyle is diff than spammer build. the more you spam, the more you lose your damage per sec. When you notice proration getting worse, what u can do is just do normal attack(you will realize your norm attak deal more than your skill dmg), that way makes brawler can keep their dps competitive against spammer build. tbh its still hard to steal attacker rank yet at least u 85% get breaker rank with this playstyle.

if you wanna know what is my brawler combo, u can visit my staff fu thread in my siggy (my staff fu and brawler use exactly same combo but diff playstyle)

now the problem is when you fight against FU Build (i.e : 1hfu, staff fu, Gun fu, 2h fu, and the last but not least considering mage with shell break )
personally if i m in a pt with FU build, my braw will rely on my strong chase passive and launch smited heavy smash when its guard break.

 

Keep it up fellow brawler, our population might be dwindling but it's so nice to be one of the select few.

Also it's not bad to have a mage, since it's a must in this game when you farm mobs.

Knux and dagger goes well and compliment one another. It'll grant you gatling punches. ^_^

 

I think you'll do great with knuckles! And I wouldn't call it out on having low DPS so soon. The developers favorite class is Knuckles, so you can just imagine how strong they'll make Lv. 4 Martial Skills. If you're going for an attacker brawler, I'd say dagger is the best way to go, however, if you want to be tankier, you can use a shield (although I'm a dagger brawler, I do tank nearly most of the time)

spamming combo that consists high mp skill's cost.
to put it simple, the more mp u burn, the more aggro(popularity) you gained.

 

I think thats not how aggro works.

yup. (it doesnt mean 1 mp combo produce low aggro. mp skill's cost excluding combo tag is the one that being accounted in)
and normal attack also produce aggro too.
there were some hypothesis circulated in the players that mentioned every skill has diff aggro multiplier(which i do believe too). but, mehh i just dont want to touch that area into more detail bec its not worth my time to research on that.
however my answer is based on my experience. cmiiw, im open to any feedback if you have better answer

 

I have been a tank since I played this game a few weeks ago, Provoke lvl 10 cost only 2mp, Rage Sword also 2mp, and they do get aggro. I am sure aggro is a different variable to be considered. I am looking for a taunt or a provoke like skill for knuckle user since Knight skills require swords.

you wont get aggro if u compare 2 mp provoke against 1 chain combo cost 10+ mp. thats why provoke is less useful against spammer.

 

Yep there are less people using brawler now i don't really know why but i think brawler is not too bad, they are very useful for skill cancelation and inflict some debuff on bosses, but now people just want something that can inflict hi damage, that's why i think people stop using brawler, and by the way my main character is also a brawler(breaker).

 

I want to know how str pts effect brawler builds?

 

5 STR = 1 CDMG
minor ASPD
1 DEX = 0.7~ATK

lets compare between 50 STR and 50 DEX

50 STR = 10 CDMG
50 DEX = 37~40 ATK

which one gives more damage do u think?
