Looking for mage dagger build

Hi, I'm looking for a nice storm and dagger combo build for lvl 110. fill me in pls! also do dagger skill prorate our Matk such as storm?

This is caped at 105 and also Im looking for one with Gatling Knife skill

 

Dagger mage and arrow mage are like that different right
Even the animation for both of them are same

 

Multi-hit skills would only prorate 'once' , so if you're looking for gatling knife as means of proration then im sorry to say it doesnt work that way.

 

I saw a guy on YouTube hitting Gatling Knife skill with 4k+ that being more dps then other dagger skill, would that not prorate more and add on more dps in late game when lvl cap go up and we have more dex?

 

Did that guy use a dagger mage or a dagger physical class coz i dont think we can reach that high dmg with low atk stat

 

Dex doesnt increase your phy atk when equipped with a staff unfortunately. Only way for you to increase phy atk via staff is through refinement and adding str stats , you wouldnt be adding str as secondary stats when youre main is a mage no?

 

I don't have to time and money to test but have you tested that build vs Staff fu? Idk

If you mean literally by dagger mage vs staff fu then as far as i know it would go like this :
Staff fu would win on short boss runs and mobile boss runs meanwhile dagger mage would win on very long boss runs and stationary bosses.
But then again i could be wrong because i've never owned a staff fu but I did fought against very strong staff fus before and results were what i said above.

 

On your build that you posted, you listed what skill to be lvl up on the video, however I can't view the video due to my Internet, could you list what skill to lvl up 1st and so on? and also where to put the rest of the 5 sp from lvl 110

 

If you want to use dagger as just proration and not dps why not try arrow mage coz reaching that high dmg on gatling with a mage is not possible because they dont have high atk.
And while many arrow skills have same animation as dagger skill they give more mp bank when saved.

I noticed you wanted to exploit gatling knife skill, 1st with your brawler(dps), and now with your mage(prorate). ^_^

 

You can prorate by repeatedly using throwing knife, if u are looking for long range physical dmg, and that's about it.

 

if you just want daggers for utility, check my Illusionist class (in my sigature)

if you want to attack with daggers, get a STR, INT, DEX build with a 2:2:1 ratio and CRT as personal stat. use the "mace" type staves which boost atk and get equipment that boosts STR and INT. basically it's the same as a magic swordsman but with reversed weapons.
the downside is that your defensive options are poor, so it's recommended to reduce aggro.

multi-hit attacks still count as 1 attack for poration. the difference between multi-hit and single-hit attacks is the damage variance against weak armored and strong armored mobs. (and guard)

 

Your build is the one I have in mind when I first read the lines mage dagger. ^_^
