Looking for tanky palasin build ideas

I've just started playing Toram online, and having a blast. Now I'm lv 28 began with sword and bought skill in shield but haven't distributed stats points in fear of being a gimp character. I know I'm going to need to buy survival and knight skills to function as tank in a Sense but I have questions...
Should I choose Str or Dex? Should me personal stat be mentality or crir? I'm a noob but I like the idea of functioning with sword and shield as a paladin who support the frontine by dealing damage and keeping agrro.
