Hello! Relatively new player and first-time forum poster seeking advice to improve my build. I've read through some amazing guides but I wanted to get some advice from users directly.

First, stat allocation; My goal is to hit hard but decently fast. I currently I have 285 points to distrubute.
    I'm considering:
    - Pure str / remaining agi
    - 100-150 str / remaining agi
    - 100-150 str / remaining divided evenly between agi and dex
    - I was also considering putting 25-35 points in crit and maybe 10-15 in vit.
    Yay, nay? Better ideas?

Second, skill. I have a decent grip on what I want and should get, but what are some skills you'd advocate for getting indefinitely, and ones you'd recommend not touching at all?

As far as combos go I'm looking at doing simple combos with low mp incorporated with some magic and possibly some shot skills for good proration? I also looked at a build that used holy fist from priest in their combos and I was wondering if that was an optimal investment. Thoughts/ideas?

I got equipment decently figured out and have the funds to acquire a lot of what I need so I'm good in that area.

I've just kind of been tralala-ing through the game thus far and am ready to make a more legitimate character. I know a lot of this information is already here so I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive, I've just done so much reading and watching and I just have an overwhelming platheroa of information and one guide says this and another guide says that and sometimes it goes over my head so I thought I was well past due to submit my first post.

    Thanks in advance!

3rd stat allocation is better, i personally use it, but plays around between 150 to 200 str.

you dont need shot skills, because you cant use em coz youre a DW.
you can use Impact in magic skills, but thats all i can recommend you to use.
you wont do high enough damage as a dw if youre gonna use a long combo without using stat allocations like Full Str rest Agi.
you dont need much crt stat unless you dont want to use Astute.
51 crt stat is optimum for a DW with crit stats. in sword and armor and proto leon.

To speak with you in the order of your words:

To hit hard with Str, involves all critical gear as a dual wield, and thus auto attacking is less viable than skills. Personally recommend 20 Vit, full Str, and the rest into Dex OR Agi.

Many skills you'd want is solely based off of your choice of the main damaging skill. Flat out required skills would be Dual Swords Mastery, Dual Swords Control, and potentially Godspeed. Your average dual wield has a few choices for main damage skills. Ordering by what I perceive to be most popular to least: Phantom Slash, Charging Slash, Spinning Slash (lotta slashes here...), and flash blast.

You express want for magic skills. Since you'll lack matk (obviously), the magic skills are for utility only. Basically, get skill level 7 Magic: Impact.

You express want for shot skills. You literally cannot use any of them other than quick draw and sneak attack, both with it's perks. Quick Draw gives you a 30% chance to recover 1 bar of mp when a skill is used. Sneak attack (maxed) nullifies any aggro you may draw for 10 skills (if you have a party of course).

Odder skills that everyone seems to have, like holy fist, are mainly only used as filler skills. If you want your short and sweet combos, it's rather unnecessary, but wouldn't hurt to invest a single skill point into. Most people also favor to get Hp Boost (maxed), for an easy 1000 hp, and +20% hp.

Since you rely on Str (whose purpose is to increase the damage you do if you get a critical hit), all/most of your gear should be critical oriented. For main sword and armor, recommended is a full critical layout statted. For accessory, Gothic Hat (Critical Rate +15). For ring, likely Muscle Talisman III.

Again, your skill build is rather bland right now, because you need to decide on what your best damage skill will be.

EDIT: Your simple 1 mp combo will basically amount to this:
Something that costs 1 mp > Cost of x (save) > Cost of x (smite) > Something that cost less than 4 mp (cons)

*Magic: Impact is worth the cost of 3 or 4 (yes, either), if you use the save tag on it.

Most likely. Using Dex, will increase your hit rate, but you have no Dex. Therefore your hit rate is non-existent, to be honest. A critical hit, on the other hand, will never miss, due to the game mechanics. Gothic Hat will raise your crit rate by 15%.

The muscle talisman has, +6 Str, and +400 mp, fitting for your class and stat layout.
