Hello, hopefully this is in the correct category.

I apologise in advance for the sheer number of questions I have, most of which I'm sure have already been answered many times.
I'll begin with magic devices; there is still a lot of information I don't quite understand when after research (I'm afraid the same apples to all these topics):

    1) Is the normal attack of an MD physical or magic? And therefore, strength or intelligence?

    2) What are the best stats to increase for a primary MD user?
The game suggests AGI and INT but people say different things. I assume it depends on individual gameplay?

    3) Does attack speed affect all weapons? (MDs in particular)

    4) What is 'aggro'? Some equipment seems to decrease it but I can't find out what it is.

    5) On equipment, what is the difference between defence/attack and base defence/attack?

    6) Do I seem weak for a level 54 mage? I'm worried I haven't built up my stars effectively. I'd like to help people as much as possible but that's going to be hard to do if I'm weak (I'm aware this is typically an annoying question, so I apologise)

    Stats:
    STR: 16 ATK: 215
    INT: 34 MATK: 258
    VIT: 32 DEF: 125
    AGI: 30 MDEF: 128
    DEX: 26 HIT: 80
    FLEE: 84
    ASPD: 271 CSPD: 165
    HP: 1172 MP: 557 (5 bars)

I will provide additional information of necessary (equipment and such).

    Blacksmith tree:
    7) Using Customise Equipment skill, will I be able to attach MP increase stat and a crystal slot to my gear/additionals/weapon?

    8) If so, how does it work? Will I need certain items so apply it?
I'm hestitent to waste skill points on the Blacksmith tree just to find I'll stuggle to us it.

    Grey Dye:
I'm looking for grey dye for my mage robe and additionals. I'm aware I can get some from Commander Colon (I assume this is gear dye?)

    9) I was wondering, does anyone know if grey additional dye exists and where I can get it?
I can't see it on any guides as of yet.

I believe that's all the questions I have. Thanks you for reading this waffle.

    1.) I dunno.

2.) Raise INT and AGI, but raise INT first. I heard some people do dex with it but I dunno. I'm not a expert on any type of weapon types, physical or magical, etc etc ._.

    3.) I dunno.

4.) Aggro is something that can attract mobs. There are multiple ways of getting it. Being under leveled in a map, using a skill to get aggro from a boss, having everyone die in your party, etc etc.

    5.) I'm Confused.

6.) Your stats are all over the place. If your making a fighting mage go Pure Int.

7.) Yep. When you make your only equipment from the Blacksmith tree you can then stat it the way you want if it has the right requirements. You may also add crysta if it gets a slot. Blacksmiths can't make 2s items, only blacksmiths.

8.) I honestly recommend you make your blacksmith using 1 separate character slot. Making a hybrid will make it possibly have lower pot, not to mention you want to max all the skills in the blacksmith tree. If you need more information on blacksmithing I can always help you.

Colon commander drops a dirty white A armor dye. Additional dyes that you can find that are grey is a Grey A add dye from black slimes. There was a grey event dye, but it's no longer available so you'll need to check the Consignment Board for it.

9.) I said before there is a grey A dropped from Black Slimes. The map in Ancient Empress Tomb and there is a great farming spot in A1.

    1. There's three types of attacks for proration: Auto, Magic and Physical. MD auto is classed as doing physical damage, but shouldn't be your main damage. You need to mix between auto and skills to make life easy for you.

    2. MD needs them int. But it's more preferable to use staff when using int. If you use agi, toss the MD and use knux.

    3. It does, but considering how you'd be using magic more, focus on cspd. You'll survive >200 aspd

    4. Aggro, that thing that makes monsters target you. Read what @RPG_Neko said

    5. Base is the lowest number defense/attack equipment can have (away from using the BS skill in where if you fail you can go lower) where as the number at the top is the current attack and defense.

    6. Dude, if your a mage go full int initially. Your stats are all over the place.

And the rest I know nothing about since BSing is greek to me

    1. physical. int unless ur not gonna use magic skills with ur md. if ur going to go str i suggest u use staff or 2h swords, give higher att
2.int, because ur most likely use magic skills
    3.yep
4.aggro is how attracted the mob is to u. if u see tha little red arrow on the floor u know the mob is heading to u. many items to decrease aggro, go npc bs and see.
    5. base attk and def = the base that it has, aka minimum attk/def. attk and def is the current attk and def the weap has. eg base def for 1st anniv 2h is 130, but the attk can reach to 142+-, which is +12 of base. each equip has a limit to how high the attk can go, and +10 and above of base is really rare. so if u have a item base 130 vs base 140, the base 140 will be better than the base 130 .u./
    6. thats me long ago :"D putting pts everywhere....end up have to reset my mage ;-;. u need them full int or concentrate on one stat
    7. yes u can attach mp increase on equipment, and no u cannot attach crysta slot to add gear/weap. crysta slot is determined by create equipment.
    8. no idea what u mean x-x. u just attach the stat. eg if u see cdmg7%ceee items in sofya, those are made by full tec bs with customise equip
9.grey a from black slimes in empress tomb. grey a can also be obtained with dark grey b b from ruin golem boss. (drops grey a dark grey b arm)

all weapon attacks are physical and categorized as normal attack.
MDs raise attack power with AGI.
INT for magic attack and magic defense
AGI for attack, attack speed and dodge
DEX for cast speed, accuracy and magic attack
since you can't use sub-weapons, there aren't many options. just go with those 3 and learn martial skills if you want some physical skills.
trading AGI for VIT to play more defensive with heavy armor is also possible.
the MDs advantage over the staff is it's balanced stat growth.
don't use STR, you gain nothing from it except a small increase of critical damage. which only applies to physical attacks.
yes, attack speed shortens the waiting time between normal attacks and if it exceeds 1100 it will increase the speed of your attack animations.
MDs also have a higher base speed than other weapons.
aggro is the amount of hate that monsters have towards you. aggro is generated in combat, certain skills generate more than others and equipment can further multiply or divide the generated amount. monsters will target the player with the highest aggro.
aggro is counted for each monster individually.
the equipments base atk/def is used to calculate your characters atk/def/mdef stats. skills may also use those values for damage/effect calculations.
atk/def on the equipment's stats is added to your characters stats. flat numbers are added, % multiplies your stats. those only affect your character's stats, addition atk/def from equipment is not multiplied.
your stats are spead out too much.
if you use MDs as your weapons, STR is totally useless.
you should choose 3 stats to use and select priorities among them.
like i said earlier, INT-AGI-DEX give balanced all-around stats for MDs and support their natural speed based combat.
INT-DEX-VIT trades speed and physical power for defense.
in addition to your 3 chosen stats you can spend some points on your personal stat (selected at Lv40). this is completely optional though.
slots are randomly created when the gear is crafted, you can't make them on purpose.
(except by using special orb shop items)
MP stats can be added, but it won't be much.
don't mix combat and creation skills together. never!
make combat characters for combat and creation characters for crafting/synthesis.
blacksmith and alchemy skills can be used on the same character, but mixing them with combat skills will take a big toll on your combat power.
Colon Commander has Light Gray A dye for armors
Ruin Golem has the same dye + Dark Gray B dye for armors (both on 1 item)
Black Jelly has Dark Gray A dye for addition gear

Wow, I wasn't expecting such a quick response.

Well that explains a lot. Clearly I need to break the habit of distributing stats equally in games ^^'
I'm that case I'll main INT with a bit less of AGI and DEX. STR can disappear completely.
If I reset my stats Will get get them all back to distribute again? I'm aware you do with skills but I figured I'd make sure just in case.

Thank you, I may take you up on that offer some day :D

Ah, I always wondered why people had more than one character. I'll make sure I create another for creation skills then.

I see. Because some MDs and other equipment add around 100-200MP, I assume it won't be as much as that then.

Thank you eveyone for all the helpful information; it's certainly cleared a few things up for me!

    deleting and recreating is recommended.
you get only 1 free reset, so better save it for higher levels.
also you get the chance to improve your hair style/colour for free :p
