More Dual Wield info

The Toram blog recently released more information regarding dual wield. I will not post a description regarding the skills and information about DW as it is in Japanese and I would like to avoid mishandling of the information.

Yay, Dual Wield is coming soon!

Although the main stat seems to be DEX, the description of this "skill tree" or build says its hit and critical rate is reduced without "Dual Wield Mastery", and seems "Twin Sword Mastery" helps to improve hit rate and critical rate a little.

I think there's also mention of enhanced evasion with reduction of defence/guard rate and lower defence/guard rate against long range physical attacks.

Well, I deleted my 1H because I thought they would have created a new DW class for the start of a new character, but had I known that it was gonna just be a skill tree addition I would have kept him around seeing as how it was a level 40. ;w;

Ah well, I guess not doing that new quest will come in handy after all.

Translated the text from the stat page and it makes it sound like dex is the main stat but that also str and agi increase off hand dmg...
Anyone good with JP?

So does dual wield mean that we get the bonuses from 'both' weapons, or just the main weapon, or do we know yet?
Glad I didn't pick up shield skills for my fighter.

 

Rumors we only get half stat from second sword

 

Dex is main stat, increases damage on both hands. STR and Agi also increase dmg as a lil factor to both hands. Agi increases dmg of Off hand. Str also increases dmg on off hand on a leaser lvl than Agi.

Off Hand is 50% less damage than main hand. You can increase its dmg by mastering Dual Wield Skill (10), by the expenses of Crit rate and Accuracy rate.

 

Sounds like possible builds are:

1. Pure Dex
2. Dex / Agi
3. Dex / Crit

 

Yeap, good playing around yeap yeap.

 

Personaly I prefer cri, just more reliable considering the hit rate drops duo to the skill and the high evasion some bosses and mini bosses have.
For the aspd, probably best go with light wolf and bd sword and see how that goes.

 

Wait, if this is addtional skill tree, won't that mean I can have the sword as sub weapon even if we use staff, knuckle, or bg? Or this skill tree only work for 1H?

 

Gonna have to wait for skill descriptions for that info, if it says one hand I can possibly be used with a staff or bow, but if it'll say dual sword you'll need both swords equipped.
