News: [IMPORTANT] Change of Application System Requirements

Sooo...this worries me.

They've already upgraded the engine a few days ago, so pets and houses hooray! (The game engine was updated on 9/29/2016 for iOS, 1/19/2017 for Android.)

BUT, what's this? They're now going to up the minimum specs at January 26?? As someone whose android version is under 4.3...it looks like I'm gonna get wrecked, huh? After looking through a bunch of apps promising to upgrade my android (but only offering information) it looks like my time to play toram is over unless if I root my phone, but it's kind of old so I'm pretty scared it would get bricked with all my stuff on it...I mean, I was kind of a crappy guide writer anyways, all I did was provide this, this and this...but it feels a bit depressing if Toram's gonna be out of reach for me.

Those are the min requirements when i checked the faq on the page you linked. It's not that bad, really. I think your phone will be able to at least play the game. besides, phones with less than 1gb ram are quite outdated anyway. They'd have issues with most games nowadays.

You can use emulators if your phone can't handle it.

 

And i thought "the purge" is actually over. There is a round 2!?

 

Same. Left JB a long time ago. Lol. But those are the recommended specs. I wonder what the minimum specs will be.

Guys, I hate to sound rude and repeat stuff, but these are the RECOMMENDED requirements, not the MINIMAL ones. That means if your device is lower than that:
A) It can run the game but with some issues
B) The Android market share is ruled by KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow devices anyway, so it's about time you get a new phone =P

There will always be a new version of Android OS, the game engine used by Toram (Unity) also being updated frequently, new physic engine, new particle system, etc. surely will require more powerful devices to run the game.

Supposing the most anticipated feature that being offered by Asobimo "Pet System" will be visible to other players, that means more 3D meshes to render, more memory space required, harder task for GPU, that also means more pricey device will be needed. In short, R.I.P low-end devices. cri ;-;

It literally says "recommended requirements". But this is getting my hopes up, I do wish it is!

 

Yup. But what's there are the recommended specs, not the minimum. So it doesn't really help us. We'll soon find out later after the maint anyway. Let's just hope we can all still play.

 

Well... i just returned to the game 2 weeks ago with my old account so im kinda scared when i see this (4.3 android or higher) thing cuz my version is just 4.1... but im still hoping that the game will still run after the update.
Asobimo killed me in the story and left me with a cliff hanger. then after the update i can never know what happened to me in the story? .i dont think so asobimo. I will steal my brothers phone to continue that story and see if i survived .

Lol the recommended requirements were already like that since last year's engine upgrade. I got worried at first when they announced that since Toram ver 2.0.0a, but now, I don't seem to care since I'm still alive and playing Toram.

Also, looking at their FAQ, they didn't update the recommended requirements. Instead, you're looking at the old specs not the ones that were already listed in, such as from the Google Play description of the game.

As for the minimum requirements, I think there will be no change to that except for more issues such as FPS drops, random skill glitches, and force closes. Other than that, no surprises for me.

This got repetitive to say but you can still play toram but you'll experience issues. So don't worry.

root it, change device identity, then overclock the cpu till it burn

 

My Android meets the recommended requirements and I already have issues with lag and fc

 

maybe its your connection coz the game is running smoothly with no hiccups here
