Proration within a combo?

Hello,

I haven't been able to find an answer in the forums. My question is, in a combo, does each attack prorate?

So for example if I did a plain DW combo without modifiers, and the boss had a 10% proration rate (made up rate), would it be effectively:

Hard Hit (100%) > Astute (90%) > Twin Slash (80%) ?

Or would it only count/be considered as a single physical skill attack as they are comboed with a single button push?

I see people using like 5 attack combos, giving up damage for decreased mp cost, but am wondering if there is an additional damage cost due to proration?

based on my magic+dagger combos poration does take effect within the combo.

 

Yes, if your combo is longer the damage does get lesser I think because they're counted as individual skills and not one single button push. At least that's what I believe but I never really confirmed it. It could be reset by using mixed physical and magical skills within combo probably tho.

 

Yep there is such a thing, its the reason why Arrow mages; impact gunners; dagger mages; magic swordsman exsist. Using the same skills will lessen ur damage prob by 10-20% each skill. Thats why its good to mix up your combos between magical and physical if possible
