Questions about Mekyo Shisui

Ever since the mononofu skills came out, I've been wondering if Bow sub katana would be a viable build. I had this idea of using meikyo shisui as a my main crite rate booster for snipe so i can focus on cdmg/atk on my equips. But then i saw that using meikyo shisui w/o a katana would have cdmg penalties. But would the cdmg penalty still take place if you equip a katana as a sub?

 

The cdmg penalty is only -5%, so it won't affect you too much, but since you have a katana equipped as a subweapon you don't lose any cdmg.

 

Bowtana in itself is a risky build but you don't get CD kill from Meikyo. So if you can make that snipey combo with Meikyo before it, make that shiet

 

Any other mononofu buffs that is not affected to katana being subbed?
2h passive is busted, sakuchi is basically useless(cannot activate ampr bonus) and boshido is still questionable(how much can we use as katana sub?)

 

What do you mean Shikuchi being "basically useless"? To me, it's the most versatile of the 3 passive mononofu skills there is! Especially useful if you build around skills that have knockback effect (assault attack, magic wall, kick), movement effect (Triple Thrust, Charge Slash, evasion), or pulling effect (Sword Tempest, Magic:Storm)!

 

u dont know how to trigger shuckuchi? what is ur class?

 

Bow+katana+pet= my "Nakama" build for a magic nuke pet(i prorate phy and DPS, pet prorate mag and Tank) have to be ampr build to cope up for the high mp demand of combos. Sakuchi wont activate if i go mid-close range (breaking role) and have to stay at 10m mark, and have to move at least 13m away to activate sakuchi.
Have to move in by triple or issen and manually run out (lot of ground to cover, and im basically all over the place)

 

Shukuchi dosen't work well with ranged weapons, plus it needs to be at level 10 for you to get AMPR.

 

i dont prefer suckuchi for long rane peeps.. not really helpful since u dont need to run around to chase the boss

 

That is why i said it is kinda useless for me. I keep it at level1 for chase(if it ever activate) have to find other means of ampr for what sp i have left.

 

just get mp boost
