Quick Combo Starters That uses 1 sp(or at least as few as possible; preferably range)

Already have Holy fist on my Buff combo(HF>Warcry[save]>Meikyou[swift]>Heavy smash[smite]).

I want to use Holy fist for a quick stun combo(HF[Smash if Boss isn't flinch sensitive]>Meikyou[save]>Bash[swift]), so looking for a replacement skill for my Buffs(quick and preferred long range) that uses 1 sp and preferably 100 mp.

Edit:
Only tried Assault Attack(knight skill, 1sp, 100mp). It's slower than Holy fist by about 0.5 seconds(there's a delay after the hit). Hoping for something as fast as Holy fist.

Tried it on my Stun combo(Holy fist/Assault attack>Meikyou[save]>Bash[swift]).
Results are:
Standalone Bash: about 2.8 seconds, 200mp
Holy fist starter: 3.5 seconds, 100mp
Assault attack starter: 4 seconds, 100mp

I just counted this in my head BTW so the time might be faster.

I can only test others this afternoon. Hope someone can drop by.

 

Use reflex,buy the star gem so u can save 6sp. It can be used at any range but make sure to target the boss first or the combo won't active

 

Don't you have Spike Dart?
Well, there's only TWO 1mp long range skills that has no limit: Magic:Arrows and Sonic Wave
now, as for the best of the rest:
Kick from Hunter Skill tree
Reflex from Dual Sword
Bless from Priest.

 

No spike dart. Haven't added any skill point on the tree yet as most skills are underwhelming. Only using a dagger for the effects.


Magic: Arrows have a cast time right?

Sonic wave is out because of tumble(and I'd rather use it as a standalone skill for interruptions).

Kick has the same delay as Assault attack(and looks ugly ). Does the knockback work on Boss? What if it's casting an AoE?

Reflex would cost 6 sp without star gem. I'm a newb so depending on the price might not be able to afford the star gem(I'll check anyway). Plus 0 defense would hurt a lot.

I guess bless it is even though it's the slowest out of all those.


Forgot there was earthbind too. I'm contemplating on adding triple kick as my build isn't really dps but this might be the safest.

How much does reflex star gem cost normally?

 

Can't you get/use Armigma boss drop? it makes tumble unavailable iirc.

 

I'm using specific equips. And I don't wanna rely on those.

 

Hmm, anyway, as far as Kick is concerned, yes, it works on bosses, but from what i can tell, it depends on the size. The bigger, the less distance your knockback will be.

 

Just realized... Knife Throw is 1mp if it's not Lv10... So there's your long range 1mp skill

 

Hmmm so you can use this as a starter if not level 10.... Ohh well, still have 20+ resets to try.



EDIT: Nope, can't set it as starter even at level 1.

 

Lol of course it cannot be a starter or else 0mp combo will actually be a thing.
Most of the time best combo starters are weapon/subweap based attacks. If you fancy buffing at a distance before closing in for an buffed attack, that works too(if that is your playstyle i mean) for your case, holy fist is the best option. Altho, i would recomend using shield bash as a fast opener(11-16sp if you are a speed addict)

 

I want those level 4 buffs on sword and halberd so I'm saving sp(not like I'll get to 150 anytime soon though). I'm switching between Holy fist and smash/sonic wave for the buffs although it's annoying changing it every time I fight a specific boss(I sometimes forget)

 

A brawler using meikyo eh? That new and unique. ^_^
