So, what is the breakdown of things that provide such high dps?

Hi, doods.

I have a decent character in terms of dps (Sword fu), in which I can do... say 30k damage per full Triple Kick (fully prorated, 90%, level 105). Though I've been looking around the forums and youtube, and I see people doing 120k per full Triple Kick. Therefore, I seem to be lacking in something MAJOR to be operating at only 25% efficiency. So, I pose the question, What exactly contributes the most for your dps?

I feel that the list for this follows something like this...:

1) Skill with high multiplier (Best Contributor) (Triple Kicks)
2) Refine Level + Base Attack (2nd Anniversary Sword V +C)
3) Battle Skills and class-specific Weapon Passives (I use none. :'( )
4) Element-based, Critical Damage-based, or Primary Stat-based (I use Critical-based)
5) Xtals (I have none.)
6) Proration (Full Proration, when Triple Kicks hits.)
7) Boosting Skills (i.e. Warcry) (I use none.)
7) % power (i.e. Save, Smite, etc.)(Worst Contributor) (90%)

So, feel free to correct/add/remove from my list of contributors, and thank you for your input in advance.

 

Stats on weapon/ xtals / buff skills are very important and it seems you don't have much of those. It will most likely increase your dmg by alot

elemental advantage(sometimes) high stability help alot. being Atk oriented in all your gears, refinement, xtals(not cheap) contribute majorly. getting that 300-400 extra atk can play a huge difference between hitting 50k tkicks to hitting 100k tkicks.
battle skills whack skill taking effect boost yur damage majorly if it activates.
full smite tkick 150% is a must guy.
most those youtube guys post there best damage anyway not there normal amounts also
