    Hello,

I'm thinking of building a Mage, focusing on short, spammable combos.

I've read that Javelin and Impact (7+) are zero cast time. Are their motion /animation speeds slow?

What effect does enhancing the speed on a zero cast time spell have?

    I'm thinking of:

    Chain Cast (after arrows)

    Trigger slash

    Swift modifier

Do these affect motion or animation speed? Or are they pointless as 0 seconds x 50% = 0 seconds.

    Thanks!

cast time is only affected by cast speed.
after it has been reduced to 0, you can only increase motion speed.
motion speed increases when attack speed is greater than 1100, with gear stats, with the swift combo tag and with trigger slash.

Javelin animation is slow, impact is one of the fastest skill animation found in game.
The only things that would increase the animation of instant skills are swift tag , trigger maybe and 'motion speed' , which could be achieved by breaking the capping of attack speed ,which is 1100, which would lead to faster animation speed.
Note : atk spd is not the same as motion speed
Chain casts only affects skills with cspd.

But my opinion regarding this is that this build wouldnt work due to the ff. Reason
1.Javelin isn't a damaging skill , rather it is a skill used for inflicting ailment status depending on what element you are using.
2.impact has already a fast animation, not much point in increasing it furthermore.
3.dps of this build would be extremely poor due to alot of sacrifices needed to achieve quick skill animations.
