    i went though the article i understand the attack change but the heavy combo already has magic and physical attack ( hope im right ) but i dont get what dose that do with mp and not rechargeing though during boss since the combo takes 4 bars with the combo im doing 70-75k

    It has a lot to do. Attack 6 times Pillar Golem and use one 400 MP snipe, then compare the damage to the dmg of four 100 MP combo spams. Heavy snipe will have dealt higher damage, and faster. MP management + proration + timing + stability + critical hit. There's a lot into it. Why kill Roga with 11 100 MP combos if you can kill it with five auto attacks, two 4 MP snipes, 3 auto attacks and a last 4 MP...

    Leave the 1 MP spam for when you're at 1 or 2 MP bars, but doing it before is a waste of time and you prorate against yourself.

    Good, just keep in mind that I'm here giving away the knowledge I've learnt slowly through a long long time and hard work just for everyone to know it, but without practice knowing it is worthless, no one can be a good sniper in a week or a month, it takes a lot of time and effort. Stats and spina don't win in this game, but the ability, acquired through experience.

    yap i know most games are like this his very well with stratigy been playing ffxiv since day 1 beta or alpha whatever come frist he will get it ( hopefully) and thanks for the information and the help you give 2 all of us

    You really made a mistake there buddy ^^ should've double checked, here let me write down what was clearly written:
    Moeba OR Sonic Wave > Impact (save) > Snipe (smite) >Holy Fist OR Smash (con's)
    [MP cost: 100]
    Your Impact should have (SAVE) as "special effect" on it, not consecutive :) that's why your combo costs more than 1mp ^^

    I have a few questions~

    1) If I were to add lvl 10 pwoer wave it'll only decrease my auto attacks but not my skills right? It'll also increase my range by 2m (both auto and snipes) right?

    2) Sober(lvl.10) only gives you 10 mp every 3 seconds right? If so then I would like your input on it when we're doing fast runs.

    3) How does long range dmg work? Like the stats on volg xtal, it's like if your skill casts over 8m+ then you get the dmg bonus but if the skill isn't then you don't get the dmg right? Or would it work depending on where you stand and cast?

    Very nice questions.

    1) Power Wave with Bowgun only decreases your auto attack damage (not your skill damage) if you auto-attack within P.W.'s range, you know if you're within the passive's range because you see a wave being thrown at the enemy, instead of the usual attack. The range varies with skill level and weapon.

    Example of Power Wave with EMPRESS BOWGUN:
    Lv1 ~ reduces range to 5m
    Lv2 ~ returns range to 6m
    Lv4 ~ range widens to 7m
    Lv6 ~ range widens to 8m
    Lv8 ~ range widens to 9m
    Lv10 ~ range widens to 10m​
    * Note this ranges only apply for BOWGUNS.
    Skill range always widens for 1m every 2 levels after level 1.

    2) Sober Analysis has 2 effects: 1. AMPR+3 for every skill level. 2. Activates automatic MP Recovery INSIDE THE BATTLE. You can see how it recovers small chunks of MP in the middle of your combos and even if you're running around. The recovery occurs in intervals of 3 seconds. The higher the skill level the more MP it recovers per tick.

    3) Long Range Damage from gear/xtals works based on how far from the target in the moment when a skill is casted. However, Long Range Damage from the passive skill Long Range doesn't detect your distance from the target, it boosts all damage inside Shot Skills regardless of your range.

    1) So my sniping range will be increased from 16m to 20m?

    2) At lvl 10 I get +30 ampr increase?

    1) No. Power Wave doesn't affect skills range, only auto attack range. Your snipe's range would still be 16m.

    2) Exactly, plus the 3 seconds recovery effect.

    Sober adds no ampr when u autoattack, use however many mp u want, empty ur bars then count how much autos it needs to fill up the bars, then get sober rank 10 then empty ur bars then run around and see how much the chunk mp regains, it should be 10 if safe rest rank 5 and 20 if safe rest 10 im guessing then empty bars again and auto attack untill the bars are full again, if u use barehand the chunk regain wouldnt affect the results much as ud be attacking faster, example 300mp took 30secs to recover a bar by the chunk heal alone, without sober it took 9autos to regain 1 bar, with sober rank 10 safe rest rank 5 it took 7autos and 2procs from sober to regain a bar, if sober added +20ampr i wouldve regained a bar 3autos+1 proc from sober, but even with 1k mp 5autos without sober to regain 1 bar because of 10base ampr +10 from having 1k mp, with sober rank 10 safe rest rank 5 refilling 1bar will need 5autos and 1proc from sober, it will look like,auto 20mp auto 40mp auto 60mp sober proc 70mp auto 90mp auto 110mp,
    But after testing taking any ampr i got in account (only ampr through mp) if sober adds a straight up +30ampr at rank 10 it wouldve been noticed but i saw no change, i believe prec gets his ampr from mp and gears and maybe safe rest rank 10 adding 20per 3secs if im correct

    I can confirm sober gives no ampr even at rank 10 and safe rest rank 10, with 1.2k mp to regain a bar i needed 4autos and 1proc from sober

    Can someone tell me if its possible to do the ultimate sniper build using your first made character? Would appreciate all answers
