Toram isn't really Beginner friendly.

When you put it that way that's 100% in context though... Meh this is kinda ranty on my part, one side says it's great for them other are on the struggle bus others don't really care

 

We talking about our game struggle now? If so, might as well say my story on it.

I was by myself playing Toram Online for the first 2-3 months. During those months I had to learn everything on my own. This game almost made me quit playing. I would be soloing through my main quests. Not joining parties due to my " newbie " status. Having to Solo Bosses like Volg and Mochelo at level 37. Due to these obstacles and difficulties it changed my view on the game and it changed my view on the players. After that I decided that I would never join a guild or associate myself in a party with other players.

However, That changed once I was recommended to joined a guild. I opened up and learned how to talk to players. ( yes.... I didn't know how to talk to players properly.... ). They weren't at all rude unlike the other players I have seen roam through the game. They were friendly and they would help each other on farming, bossing, etc.

I decided that I want try to help any new or old player however I can. I don't want new players to end up going through a similar road like me. That's why, I find helping new players not a way to spoil them, but to give them a heads up on what will happen when playing this game.

I have been playing RPG MMO's for a long time, but even this game was hard for me to understand at some points.

And that is how I learned how to play the violin. Interesting right!?

I remember I quit the game at first because I couldn't figure out how to get new equipment.

 

lol What I do is I go to newbie maps and shouting anyone need help with mq...It was me about 2-3 months ago

Toram is beginner friendly they even teach u how to move and attack, minesweeper isnt beginner friendly

 

Everyone is a newbie at a time ^_^.
even if i can, i want to be a newbie again just to recall all the memories and all the people ive met during that time.
Its not easy to start talk to others in toram tho.. it takes 1 months to join forum, and another 1 month to have a courage to post my first post :v

Asobimo games is best on locals should i say you should play together with friends,classmates,co-workers or even family. Spanish-indo-philippines--english what do expect about these races to do in one guid in one pt in one game? lol i solo mostly till i get used of the game.no need be persistent or so whats the word..just play as what a newbie would do till you know how to keep up.

 

maybe people would consider toram more beginner friendly if they actually pay attention to what the NPCs have to say...
i met many people trying to defeat flare vorg with leather armor and some monster drop weapon.
they had no idea that there is a blacksmith in town.
but when you first enter sofya after the tutorial you get a quest to visit everyone.
and they explain everything.
and they said to visit often to look for new recipes.

 

Ha...! I see myself in you. Because of my anxiety to talk to people here, I created this account just to see the images attached to posts. I am not even planning to speak here. My plan is being a forums ninja. But I mustered my courage and begin to socialize on other players here.

 

The secret to get use and survive the game with newbie status is here,this place and fb group that is still active. All secrets etc lies in this community. If the person is only a gamer but dont know how to socialise then thats bad for him. Google knows all except for you are i guess lol

 

lol during my newbie time, it seems fun even tho we re just fighting an overpowered flare volg at level 40 hahahha dying many times...

yea..it was my anxiety as well. im jsut not comfortable to speak in english like any other,, bec my english is so formal. and i was always lurking to see forums drama .. and then i also find out all toram info in forum is not all helpful that time (some of them even misleading/incorrect but ppl still follow it because its posted by senior/famous member).

Forums right now is different tho. the mods(anti, cakes, kariin) already did the great job filtering all useful thread so its easier to be seen by new-joined...
so i think we shud tell newbies to visit this forum to help them play toram

My problem with anxiety is I fear that everyone here might not like me. "What if they don't like me? Will they become angry and hate me if I say this? " Those are the questions in my mind before I began socializing here. The second question still bothers me everytime I'm online.
That is the reason why I have few to none IRL friends.

 

I don't care what anyone thinks about me and I don't have IRL friends either. So that's not the reason why you don't have them. ;p

I originally didn't know of the existence of the forum until I was stuck on Flare Volg and didn't know what was next, I asked around and got pointed here, results that there was nothing after Volg, no MQ. I lurked the forum for 2 or 2 and a half months, the old guides were so rudimentary and inaccurate lol but still a bit helpful. I decided to formally join in the maintenance when Mauez was added, just to comment about the drops. Who would imagine I'd find a home here...

 

You shouldn't be afraid when joining forums or anything similar. At least 1 person cares and / or likes you behind their screen. The Toram Online forums has a big community and the Internet in general has a ton. The chances of making at least 1 friend is a realistic and possible thing.

If someone doesn't like you then why should you care? Don't get it under your skin. If someone is mad at you for voicing your opinion it's not going to be entirely your fault. It's just their opinion. It's sometimes best not to be to cautious about your actions and just go with the flow. Just relax and don't be so worried or serious about anything.

Also, It's better to have few loyal friends then a whole group of friends that will always end up ditching you behind. I know from experience in my real life issues, but that's besides the point.

And lemme just say this. Before I ever became who I am now I would rarely talk on forums. I wouldn't talk in the shout box and I would be making 1 - 2 comments a day. I used to be very catious when typing things out on threads, but now it just comes naturely. Just relax and don't worry about what others think.
