Trying out the DW Class

I'm trying out the DW Class, and I wanna know some recommended builds, and if you can link them below, that'll help a lot.

 

Eh too lazy to link and the builds are down there but if you want to:
Ampr go for cypherian’s bunny build or knightcrow’s build
Full agi go for lynxia’s build
Full str dps long combos go for the fading reaper build

Dws have multiple playstyles and just have to find one you would like

Impossible Challenge: only Int

 

Not impossible. Quickly get MP via autos+shadowstep, then focus on controlling boss with Impact. Storm, Tempest, and Binding Strike. Give up on Attacker Rank for bosses ofc. You can also attack from afar with Power Wave too. Generic DWs = Kiritos. Int DW = Jedi. #theForce.

P.S. I have not tried this yet. I just have it as a theoretical build in one of my personal notes.

 

learn how dw works dont think about the dmg some ppl like me has low dmg output but has higher dot then the spammer dws..

Testing your build, doing well atm, but I currently have ony 7 CP, and it takes a while to get CPs, I was womdering if you have any other DPS Combos that are under 7 CP for the AGI Build.

 

Sorry i dont but maybe you could try > Spinning Slash-> Warcry(save)-> Phantom(Smite)-> Flash blast(cons) or when you get 8 cp try Spinning Slash-> Warcry(save)-> Flash Blast(cons)-> Phantom(Smite)-> Astute(cons), in the meantime until you have enough CP to make the bigger combo .

 

Something useful that you may need to understand.

1. Don't use DW if you want to have higher dps than Halberd and Bow
2. DW is very flexible
3. Don't go Full Dex :/
4. Learn Auto Cancel, hard to master though.
5. Don't ever, put crysta on sub hand

 

I have the basic info about the DW, I know about auto cancelation, and I know it takes a ehikr to practice, and I know that I won't ben a DOS just wanted to know some spammy combo to earn CPs fast, thanks for the tips though.

 

On your build, does it matter if I put any VIT on the stats? If I do happened to get a 2s Arm, do I still have to put the SP in VIT or could I put it on DEX, vice versa.

 

If you happened to get a 2 slotted armor and equip iconos on the 2nd slot you dont really need VIT, but it perfer is cause With VIT as your level increases, so does your HP. With Iconos xtal your HP doesnt not increase with level with a HP xtal.

 

Here's the word of a Heretic who uses VIT: 50 is enough for most of your needs. More and your DPS suffers heavily. But GOSH is it worth it!
DWs have a lot of survivability options (Spinning and AGI; Evasion; Phantom Slash and Charging Slash), but each of them have a counter:
- Dodge and Evasion will do NOTHING against mobs and bosses who use a lot of magic AoEs.
- Charging works more often than you'd expect, but you need timing to pull it off. Also, the end animation is slow, so unless you increase its motion speed, you will end up being hit by follow-up attacks and large AoEs.
- Mistiming a Phantom Slash can be VERY costly, and many mobs are unpredictable.
By having said VIT, you can be less worried about oncoming damage if you fail to dodge. Have this and one or two survival skills in that set, and you have a practically unkillable semi-tank that can prorate and deal decent DPS with the right build.
DEX is quite important too, since some mobs/bosses will make you graze like no tomorrow.

 

Just sharing some stats i have been playing around with and have came to love <3 . To my suprise i thought this stat setup damage would of been a lot lower, only lost 500-700 dmg off of Phantom slash.
