INTRODUCTION.
This is a list showing the success rates of various negative End Potentials for equipments of differing Potentials. In the list below, the terms End Pot and Overall Potential might be used frequently. so for clarification, End Pot means the Potential of the equipment at the end after adding stats to the equipment while Overall Potential means the Potential of the equipment before adding stats.

I decided to make this list after seeing some players discussing the success rates and what not, but it was discussed in a relatively secretive manner, which sparked my inner curiosity (sheeps are very curious creatures just so you know) and somehow I felt that some knowledge should be shared if it can benefit all of us as a community. So… Tada!! Decided to beg, borrow and steal equipments from friends for this :x

NOTES.
● Success rates for negative End Potentials depends solely on the Overall Potential of the equipment when adding stats (Higher Pot = Higher Success Rate chances)

Example A:
>Equipment of 31pot
>After addition of stats becomes -4pot
>Success rate is 80%

Example B:
>Equipment of 33pot
>After addition of stats becomes -4pot
>Success rate is 82%

Example C:
>Equipment of 40pot
>After addition of stats becomes -4pot
>Success rate is 87%​

● The success rates for negative End Pots is not affected by type of equipment (i.e. Knuckles, One Hand Swords, Armors)

Example A:
>Rapier of 35pot
>After addition of stats becomes -8pot
>Success rate is 57%

Example B:
>Rod of 35pot
>After addition of stats becomes -8pot
>Success rate is 57%​

● The success rates for negative End Pots is not affected by Base Pot of Equipment

Example A:
>Rapier of 35pot
>After addition of stats becomes -6pot
>Success rate is 70%

Example B:
>Short Sword of 35pot
>After addition of stats becomes -6pot
>Success rate is 70%​

● If you stat in two steps, the success rate is determined by each End Pot at each step

Example A:
>Equipment of 25pot
>After addition of First set of stats becomes 15pot
>After addition of Second set of stats becomes -5pot
>Success rate at second step is based on an equipment of 15pot and is 33%

Example B:
>Equipment of 25pot
>After addition of two stats in one step (similar stats from example A) becomes -5pot
>Success rate is 64%​

● For equipments from 1 Pot to 15 Pot, the success rates for negative End Potentials are the same.

Example A:
>Equipment of 3pot
>After addition of stats becomes -4pot
>Success rate is 48%

Example B:
>Equipment of 15pot
>After addition of stats becomes -4pot

How do you guys get a shortsword to 35 pot? I can only go for 22 pot shortsword or bows with Dex and 10 Tech.

 

Add negative stats to it. With A full Dex Blacksmith, the shortswords can only reach 27pot. :x

I wanna know what is the higher pot today of armour, staff, sword and bowgun. With max lvl pure stats in specific BS mastery.

 

Total Potential of Equipment (2HS, Bowguns, Staffs, Knuckles, Armors)
= Base Potential of Equipment + (10% of Base Potential of Equipment, Careful Creation Lvl 10) + Stat / 10

Example
Scale Armor, Vit BS Lvl 80, 221 Vit
Total Potential
= Base Potential 23 + 2 + 22
= 47Pot​

Total Potential of Equipment (1HS, Bows, Magic Devices)
= Base Potential of Equipment + (10% of Base Potential of Equipment, Careful Creation Lvl 10) + Stat / 20

Example
Rapier, Dex BS Lvl 80, 221 Dex
Total Potential
= Base Potential 23 + 2 + 11
= 36Pot
