When upgrade equips (lack of potential)

I heard that the probability of upgrade equips when there is lack of potential applies to each option, is it true?

Ex)
Dex 6%, Crtdmg 7%, 14, Crt 14
Potential 58 -> 13% probability
(Not enough potential)

Dex 6% -> 13%
Crtdmg 7% -> 13%
Crtdmg 14 -> 13%
Crt 14 -> 13%

Total -> 0.028%
(probability of perfect success)

I can’t believe that.
I need upgrade equips mechanism
when lack of potential for further details

Its really hard to tell if the chances are applied seperately or as a whole as theres no fixed way to prove said thing but now that I think about it, it might just be that.

Coz whenever the screen says it has 95% chance to succeed it is definitely not 95% coz people tend to fail much more than that it is probably 95% for each stat in such a way that the system checks 95% for all 6 stats and even if one of them fails the entire statting is cosidered as fail. So that means 95% chance to succeed as shown in the screen is actually 73% chance to completely succeed!!
Also after one stat does indeed get fail the system will then do 3 checks
1.)If the stat stays or gets removed.
2.)If the stat stays then how much will it get reduced from.
3.)If it is reduced then it will check if it becomes negative or not.
If all 3 checks are favourable theres that slight chance that the stats dont change at all while failing.

At least thats what I can speculate could be happening while statting. Makes me wonder if the people who are doing the 5 positive stat armors are using some sort of trick to get the favourable outcome.
