Why is still weak??

I set my points for dw, dex 120 n agi 80, but why my attack is still feel weak even I fight common boss at new map, is there any something wrong??..

 

i heard dw put there stats on dex only

 

A new boss should always be strong enough to quench our yearn for a new challenge. ^_^

 

I put to agi bcos, I think agi gives more power to sub weapon, even its effect isn't significant I guess. Correct me if I have mistake.

Reasons:
1. The mobs and boss in the new maps have high physical resistance
2. Your stats of 120 Dex 80 Agi give low Atk overall. +1 Dex gives +2 atk; +1 Agi gives +1 atk.
3. If I guess correctly, your Astute used as a standalone skill. 3.3k damage is at 100% damage (80% stability based on most 1H) after proration.
You didn't leverage on other skills to boost your Astute's damage, such as Shadow Step.

 

maybe you need a high crit rate and... DW never designed to be DPS, so don't think about damage alone

 

Did you take into account distribution for dual sword skills.
AGI applies to sub sword and Dex applies to main sword. STR applies to both.
With AGI giving 1, Dex giving 2, and STR giving one you can try to calculated the ratio the leads to the most damage on dual skills.
One way could be to balance STR to DEX to AGI as 1 to 1 to 2. It's also possible that mainly DEX could result in the most damage depending on what hits of dual sword skills are from main sword.

 

I would have done a dex > str kinda build. Str added in more for both sub and main while agi doesn't and only does sub. And btw, the new boss is already really bulky. Do you have low dmg on other bosses?

 

You are correct. But atk power in sub weapon only appears in auto attack and certain skills. Spinning slash's pedal hits is based on off-hand atk. Twin slash go with a similar calculation. Charging slash I am not 100% sure.

However if you use Phantom slash as your main DPS, as far as I know, off-hand atk does not matter.

good question.
dual swords are much different from single swords, so single sword skills will never be stronger on dual swords. astute looks like a strong skill, but it is mainly a buff skill. even with mostly str and on critical hits, it didn't get higher than 5k on my 1h char.
i heard dual swords deal their strongest damage with counter-attacks and by striking many times in short time.

 

When I still had my 1H I did more than 5k on astute, but the build was so messed up. Duel Weild does have to rely on sword skills because that's were some of its dmg goes to. Like hard hit, Astute, Trigger something?

 

Actually standard and Flash Blast DW builds works similar to light cavalry -
Fast surgical strikes,
Evade direct heavy/deep engagements,
Search for openings to counter-attack
Strike and peel.
