Why Katana's are not that popular?

Yeah DW, is in a bind (unless lv 4 of it comes around).

Still, gotta love katana that it still does dmg ( A lot) if performed well, I was able to dish out a total of 1m dmg through DOT of Tenryuu (DOT= Dmg Over Time) unlike DW >.>

 

This mas the highest spam i did at ultimate machina hard.. Not really sure if UM soften at times..

 

deym (._. ), i should really consider finishing my katana build (lv 112 atm) but still DOT type skill which makes it quite not appealing ( a lot once instant 1m+ GGXD Skill). Also its also gud to note that DOT type builds typically requires better playstyle since if u die (like i did on a Hard Iconos run) u cant outdps that pesky finale :3

 

Theres something i found out recently that gave my tenryu a kick.. But im not totally sure.. I must verify it myself 1st.

What katana did you use? Stronger against neutral(like choco katana) or the standard full crit one?

compare to Top Hat & Tyrant Mask.
For samurai ofcourse. my second question is. You see, i have 255 DEX. do DEX gem can give me more DEX in boss fight ?

 

Offensive wise:
Tentacle Roar has Weapon ATK%: which isn't that great on katana due to it's smol weapon attack, and Additional Melee%: which is decent but isn't that great either.
Tyrant Mask has ATK%: which is technically better than Weapon ATK% on katana but still not that great, and STR: which is good but the number are just sad.
Top Hat has ATK%: which I already explained before, ASPD: which isn't that bad but the number are sad, and Unsheathe Attack%: which is so good it's abused.

And yes, stats can go beyond 255 from equips or gems.

Am not being offensive but in reality, katana is more fragile than western sword. try hit em both by edge and by side.
historically, japan used katana more for stab than slash when they use it in war.

 

Ulti machina indeed gets nega resist at times.

 

MP are never a problem when you know how to shukuchi-dash out-shukuchi, not to mention 4th skills has Kairiki too. owo)b

Western sword are tool of war, its made to clash with other weapons and shields. Katana in other hand are tool of murder, its designed simply to cut through people but never to clash with another katana.
Comparing these two completely different things is nonsense, tanks are more durable than a bike and bike are faster than a tank, end of story. owo

Nah, garyou has Critical Rate -(200 - 10 * Skill Level) effect
So without kairiki who negates that, I'll never hit.
