Okay, I know there are 4 types of ore used in refining any equipment which are:

    1. Iron
    2. Damascus Steel
    3. Mithrill
    4. Orichchalcum

Question: How many times can you refine an equipment? Or is there no limit to refining the same equipment?

Each ore can only refine any given equip so much. With each successful refine, that ore will become less successful.
Hematite being the lowest grade, and orichalcum being the highest.

    I use:
    Hematite until +3/4
    Iron until +4/5
    Dasmascus until +5/7
    Mithril until +6/7
    Orichalcum until +7/8

Currently stuck at +8. I would advise, to wait until official comes, since higher tier bosses will drop the mithril/orichalcum ores.

A few other things to note:
Hammers give an additional +20% success rate, but if you fail, you'll lose your equip.
Lefina has a quest, 3 minotaur skins for Refinement powder. 75% chance of no downgrade (this is what I use)

Actually, refinement powder and anti degradation are two different things. The powder increases success rate by 5% and the degradation thing prevents downgrade 75% of the time.

Correct, in alpha there was refinement powder, but I've yet to come across it in beta. Guess my head got too used to calling it so.

Go to Lefina in Sofya city and accept the quest "Proof of Courage?"
Quest gives 1xAnti-degradation for 3xminotaur skins.

I refined my Plate Armor and Sallet to both +3 but I've seen no change in my stats...? Is refinning a myth? A mirage to make one self feels good Cuz it says "+somethin"

It's not visible in the stats, but does make a difference and you can feel the effect.

Credit: Here (It's Iruna's. But Toram may use the same logic.)

According to the data, the rate of change of your bonus DEF with respect to your refinement LV becomes higher as you refine it more.
And that's when it will be effective.

Not sure if it's up-to-date, though.

How do you use the potential on a weapon that you created, like I make +X number on swords but when I go to put a bonus on it, it doesn't show up on the list.

can i clarify? when you mean lose your equip, do you mean lose the hammer item (20% success) or the item you wanted to refine (i.e. armor)

Will you lose your item everytime the refining fail? Or only when you use the hammer? Is it ok to just refine countless times until I get my desired refinement?
