Buy and Resell. What's the point?

Another debate thread to draw away from the mutunity of things.

Anyways, I noticed a prominent thing in MMOs mostly Toram. Go ahead start the rants the flames the hate, But before you do that read for a good moment and hear me out. What's the point of Buying something to resell it, Seems pretty illogical, I mean if your gonna buy a stack of MMH stacks at 25/STK then sell for 40/STK on consignment 5-6minutes later just doesn't make sense. Sure some items make a exception to this, But I remember when the sakura event came out. Branches/Fragment were near 100k per piece. Of course, Prices have died down but seriously.

 

To make a profit?
Duh?

 

So let me get this straight. You buy first but then you resell? That's like losing to gaining. Sure it has its perks like the old saying "Lose Some to Win some." But when you buy a bunch of things and resell to go back and repeat the same thing seems.. Illogical.

 

For example, You buy an(underpriced) item for 20k, resell for 40k. That's 20k profit.
Get it now? Its called flipping.

 

Debate on reselling..? That's fair IRL and in game.

Not illogical for me, that's how I always made $, buying what's in demand to resell it slightly higher and keep making profit, updating the market various times per day. In the end you'll just be multiplying your earnings, Toram makes it a bit slower due to the 5 items in offer cap and the endless pool of shouts doesn't help either.

What do you not understand in Buying/Reselling?
Why do you think its pointless?
