What is this "BREAKER" they say..

... i kinda dont get it when im doin PT in minataur and my teamated keep saying do you break? Are you breaker?... when i ask them what do i do they said flinching or stunning the boss and tapping.... i do flinch and tapping some numbers but still theyre like finding more -_- i didnt get.. am doin right or its just aint enough ?as warrior what skill do breaking armors or so... im always out of mp so mostly i do basics most of the time (5 bars mp)

 

breaker means if you can tap those white circles fast as you can to make em red(breaked) untill a "crystal break sound plays" and a "break" sign appears in the boss. also you need to know where and how many are those spots in every boss <that's mean you 're a breaker
there are many skills that make pop up break spots on bosses. even magic can do it too but not fast or effective as a brawler or blade or archer skills.

 

I assume that the minotaur boss fight did not break enough.
So the reward(usually xtal and rare items) for breaking was not achieved.
And that player might be asking whether you are breaking or not.

 

The best breaking classes are tied between Brawler and Swordman.Hunters can break too,but Mages are just good for dps,AoE,and tapping after someone broke the boss.
Maybe you didn't do your job as a breaker properly and the party couldn't get to tap the exposed break point.

 

I have seen before brawler and swordsman that can't(don't want to) initiate a break. Might this be the problem?

I'm a gunner myself so I know that feeling when other said why aren't you breaking.
I would reply gunner PS is ineffective as archer. Maybe out of 10 PS only 1 tumble occur.

Good thing I'm proficient with Mage and Archer,so I can swap my job on the fly.

 

Yeah lucky I have a paladin that can stun break heal and tank if I manage to aggro.

 

I did do tapping until it turns red but yeah... i think im not doin it properly coz most of a time when tap pops up..it wont turn to red after tapping it couple of times... any TIPS for a good and successful breaking Guys !? I need to be more useful to the group to enjoy the runs

 

In my idea... the breaker is the person who can use skills to break.

The skill are such as hard hit , power shoot and most of brawler skill. (Brawler is the most efficient breaking class in my opinion)

BUT in order to break you must know where to hit and timing also important.

For examle, FV is the most easiest to break. Coz you just hit it from the front.

Astol and GD are the hardest to break so far.

BD and stone golem are quite okay to break.

It is not just "tap the circle" but also the one who make the tap apear.

im pretty sure the tapping means nothin towards the breaker ranking...also i pretty sure this was talked about in general in either a brawler thread or an astol breaking thread...i recommend that you look for those (whichever one it was)
