What should i do first?

PREPARE FOR THE LONG ESSAY AND BARRAGE OF QUESTIONS (please help this poor lost soul)
I'm still new to the game(played for a week) but I knew some basic stuff from Iruna. I'm a mage and recently reached level 71.
My build is focused on CSPD.
Here is my current build: Empress Soul, Hunter Garb, Night Cap, Magician's Ring(I'm thinking of replacing this ring to cookie ring but they're gone now so I'm not sure if I should go with misanga)
and just recently I've realized that I contributed less compared to other YouTubers around my level. so I tried the mage + shield combo with Minotaur staff and kite shield, and I'm loving it right now but I'm still hesitating to level up my shield skill I just leveled my bash skill to level 4.
I've remaining 15+ skill points. I'm also trying to use pets(pet discipline 83%) + merc here so I'm saving some points for taming skill in case they're necessary.
With my current build(with Empress Soul), I have around 1k+ CSPD and is it normal that my storm only deals
800-1.3k(weak element against)
1.5k-2.2k(normal)
2.5k-3.3k(strong element against)
This is the build that I am aiming for
Weapon - Empress Soul / Storm Staff(I'm thinking of getting this first) Bexiz Staff(when I reached level 90+) / 2nd Anniv Wing V (sadly it's gone now, all I consignment board are for custom weapon, but I just want the raw stats ;_
Sub-weapon(with Bexiz Staff/ Storm Staff) - Scale Shield/ Shell Shield/ Relic Shield / Albero Shield (<- all shield that I can farm) / Black Shield of Delusion / Vulcan Shield ( but I prefer BSoD)
Armor - Magic Swordman's Garb(I'm thinking to farm this first) / Oracle Robe / (Outerworld Armor(for matk and mdef) / Twilight Dress(for cspd) / Fortuita Vestibus (for hp) ) <- when i reach higher level
Additional - Nightcap (with Chocolate Ooze Crysta or Ancient Empress(Does enhancing this with Ancient Empress 2 will add the stats in 2 to the original) )
Special - Cookie Ring (is this still farmable) / Philospher's ring (how does the % work here) / Misanga / (magic talisman 3 or dex talisman 3?)
^ since two(storm staff/magic swordsman's garb) of these require outer world planet, I've tried farming planet head but it's not effective as they're usually far away from each other ;_;. anyone know the farming spot for these?
btw what does beast talisman's atk up(vit) - 1 means? does it mean for every 1 vit atk up by 1?

all the above are the mini question
the boss question is should i gear-up or level up or level up my pet or get spina first?
and is my cspd build viable because my initial plan was to reduce the cast speed of mana recharge to as low as possible buit even with 1k cspd, it still did 1+sec T.T, should i do a hybrid matk+cspd what is the optimal point for cspd?

That's not just rich in terms of spina.
To get here you'll need to cash at least a little.

You might want to get a philosipher's ring; It boosts your INT & CSPD, but you only get 300MP from it, but you can always get one with a slot and put an MP crysta in it.

hmm from coryn site i see that it increase cspd by 30%, so if my current cspd is 1080 ,
30% of 1080 = 324,
int 3% , 3% of 150(estimate) = 45 r
is tht right? if that is then i'm definitely going with philosopher's ring + 150mp crysta

 

Cspd without gear. more or less 100-200 at your level.

 

btw 1K cspd is the ideal.

 

Misanga doesn't give anything besides the 500mp. Magician Ring is a big no if you want to use your mage as a damage dealer, due to the -25% matk penalty for the +1000mp. It kills your damage output. Combined with your cspd focused build, this is the reason why your storm does next to nothing compared to everyone else you've compared yourself to.

Cookie Ring isn't farmable anymore, it was from an event.

Oh, and don't necessarily compare yourself to YouTubers. Some of them could be using custom stats, good ones at that. (Like Int+7% Matk+7% and the like.)

Taming skills are optional, they're only there for you to have the choice to mess with pets if you desire.

Don't skip on custom weapons. They are actually good, if not better in most cases.

No, Empress II doesn't stack with Empress if used. It overwrites the stats of the Empress and replaces it with Empress II, returning you the original Empress on the slot. If you have an enhancer crysta (Empress II), when you use it on your base Empress, it has a chance to not return you the Empress crysta. Though it mostly should. You can get rid of the risk by using an crysta extract, it returns you the base crysta 100% of the time.

Gear up and level up first. Pets are kinda worthless, to put it bluntly.

No, cspd isn't needed much for mages. You have a 3 sec cast time for Charge with a magic weapon equipped (Staff, Magic Device) at lvl 10 MP Charge. Granted most people wouldn't stop mid fight to use MP Charge these days. It's mostly used after fights, and there are other passives that gives you MP during a fight (Quickdraw in Shot skills is a good passive most builds swear by.)

 

Well getting 1K cspd without sacrificing matk/mp/survival is easy.
