It's not perfect all the time, but heading all the way north on the map til you can't anymore and go up around 60 depth. Just aim down and you'll get around 1300-2100 points with rabid crossbow shots. No need to move, but DO play something on TV cause it's going to get boring real quick.

 

I heard that you can break the octopus' head? I hope that the seashells armor is not too nice because it seems nearly impossible to get without a fair amount of dedication. The mini game gets boring quick and the octopus does not give too many points. I think that you get 3 points for hitting a shark and 27 for killing it??? It may be worth it to pursue fleeing sharks...

Yeah it breaks but it's just a visual confirmation that it is getting damaged. You'll even see it cry .

 

If you good aim and not lagy like hell, try destroy tentacles then focus octopus head. Tentacles give 6points per hit but you need be fast spamin.

 

How long will it take to get sea shells.

 

For octo boss i'd normally go to the top left corner and stay at 50 depth. I just stay in that corner and spam the bowgun until my oxygen runs out. For me there were less sharks around there. Hope this helps ^^

btw, if someone somehow managed to always get 1k points, then he/she need to dive around 16 times (excluded when octo appear)
still, good luck that now it's practically capable to get ulti gem without spending TOO MUCH ORBS (for those who aim ulti gem)

Not that much, it would cost that off season. Since it is a once per account items. He is an opportunist for them lazy rich guys who do not want to get wet.

 

Hmmm still 26 days before event ends. I was able to do 3 Octopus runs per day netting me around 7k - 9k points depending if I'm late or not. Just need to do around 2,500 - 4,500 points on regular runs which is 3 - 6 runs and I'd probably be able to get Seashells.....

I hope I don't get so sick of this after event ends. Farming Summer Shells is 100% better as I can read or watch vids while doing that.
