The only source of dmg.. (leveling help)

Hello, i'm very new with this game. Currently i'm level 108 2H user (Main q done).
Educate me, but i feel like the only damage is coming from lvl 150 skills ? It's really hard to find a party when you haven't unlock those skills yet, i often got kicked because of it. Now i don't know how do i grind anymore. I don't want to farm NC forever, it's a waste of time for me..
It's just funny to fight a boss which level is the same as you, but you need to be at least have level 150 skill to beat him, no matter what your equip is...
So any tips ?

 

Nc is a waste of time to farm for a 2h or anything not a mage.. it can be easily farmed with a mage specially a luck mage but only upto a certain point is it a viable leveling route.

If you are guildless or friendless, try getting into a helpful guild and or get friends around your level so you can adventure together.

Sadly most parties want everyone with current gear/stats/skills.. but everyone started somewhere and the bosses were farmed before tier 4 skills were released. If you research 140 or 145 cap builds you can get inspiration from what they used. I used to refer to a list someone shared on google docs but now an updated list can be found on Coryn club for who to farm at what level. Their database is great it even shows mobs if boss/mini boss have parties that are too elitist to include you. If you really want to fight bosses try making your own party. A lot of lazy people who have access to tier 4 skills will join you and stay if you can manage aggro or even design combos to steal the boss' attention they'll even thank you for it.

Take advantage of events with limited bosses. They usually give rewards that you can sell later or use personally to be stronger this could help your 2h or future builds as you progress further with the game.

 

Forgot to mention that i have level 115 luck mage, with full luck i can only get around 15 stacks of NC for 2 hours farming with full storm pt. It's frustrating since it'll only give around 2-3% for my 2Handed character per stack lol
And my guild mates always busy farming other stuff since most of them is maxed level already >.>
And i checked on Coryn that i could grind on Scrader or BKOD but no one wants to invite me, the only pt i could get is on Iconos, but he only gives 2% exp at 2 breaks (kill me).

I'm using tempest build btw, and i can barely do any damage to bosses..

 

Are you level 108? If that's correct then you must be talking abot BKOD Nightmare and Scrader Nightmare. Honestly speaking, most people won't accept someone without tier 4 skill when farming/leveling at Nightmare or Ultimate, therefore I would suggest you to try normal or hard instead, maybe imitacia normal, imitator normal or twilight dragon hard.

When leveling on Bosses without level 4 skills(Heck even with level 4), take bosses only on Normal or Hard difficulty. My experience is that it is more efficient on those difficulty(unless you have an OP friend leeching you) due to the speed it takes to kill them.

Also when looking for party, always go to International server 1.


I don't know if players suddenly became a lot worse in just 2 months as I haven't had a trouble finding party when I was leveling my 1st 150. It's a Rampage build 2H back then that became a bit useless starting at York due to a lot of Bosses/Minis inflicting ailments. I basically just normal attack the whole fight because Rampage would get canceled before I can pull off the last 3 hits.


1 fail proof technique though is yes, you lead. Don't really know why people are so afraid of being lead.....

 

I can proudly state that i have attained level 150 by SOLO GRIND!!! All done with the help of pets tho. Being an archer that breaks like a toothpick is no fun but it is challenging to find ways. Tanks is definately the backbone of any party, but sadly i prefer hugging my trusty bow than using a sheild. Hence i use pets as my arsenal, i am both proud and shamed at the same time when my pets do a better job tanking and dealing damage in general, reducing my supposively dps oriented archer to a supportive role to a mere AI. But hey it got me here without ever farming for exp items so no salt added!

 

I forgot to mention boosted bosses.. every week the list changes. Try to farm what will give you xp while boosted for that week. Most of the time they will be the bosses with a lot of challengers because the experience gained is increased as well as drop rates for rare items.

 

Teach me xD I have no idea about pet system at all..

None right now. You can usually see this on the "news" screen before starting the game.

 

How are you level 108 with mq done? You should be lvl 115. But anyway, its true that lv4 skills deal high damage. But I would still take a tempest 2h if they could survive, i wouldnt take someone who dies a lot. Dont do nc, its not worth the spina. Even if you farm it yourself, you might as well level you luck mage to 150 to farm faster with nc and unlock lv4 skills. Like the others said, do normal or hard bosses.

 

I would just do mq over and level with tank character. Everyone needs tank. I got accepted to a Titeres party at level 150, after the 165 level cap. They didn't kick me because I was a tank. Even when I logged out it for a minute. And it was in international channel too.

 

I was level 95 when main q done lmao, so the thing is i press the "continue progress" choice when i create the character, and the main quest instant jump to chapter 7..
And yeah, I'm doing hard td for now..

Lvl 108 is iconos normal, people usually take any member regardless of skills, then ifrid, for 110-115, again its a relatively simple boss so people would just invite anyone, then york, this one is also still manageable as long as you got a party member that acts as main damage dealer/tank. Then came the tricky part, tyrant machina, lapin, lalvada/york hard, odelon/SDM, for those bosses people are starting to look for specialised classes. I'm pretty lucky to start playing the game again after my hiatus right when level 150 cap is released so yeah, It was relatively easier back then since a lot of people still haven't acquired their Lvl 4 skills, I was also using my tempest 2h which causes quite of trouble with the mobs lol. Yeah, making a tank is ta viable way to get your first Lvl 150 char

 

Iconos only gives me 2% exp for 2 parts break >.>
I manage to find td hard party once tho, now I'm 109 and he gives me around 5-7% exp at 1/2 break. So i think i could find another pt later at td..

 

The grind is a part of leveling lol, I at least got 1 iconos xtal for every char I leveled there

Is it even possible to be under 115 with mq done? Cuz, none of my chars were below that after venena. Usually 120+ o.o
