Few noob questions

Hey guys/gals, I just downloaded last night and it reminded me of Irina when I used to play. Unlike Iruna, I know very little about Toram.

1. What is a good class if I want to focus mainly on dps? I was originally thinking of using a bow, but knuckles sounded cool as well. Then I read about breaking on this forum and wasn't sure if it was the best dps.

2. Does crit work the same as it does in Irina? As in, do crit hits have a 100% hit chance and will having a high crit reduce the need for hit%? I remember having a high ASPD and crit chance in Iruna and barely ever missing.

3. What is the deal with a second character? When I switch characters, do I share an inventory and storage? It seemed a little weird when I unlocked a new slot via emblems and I wasnt sure exactly how it worked.

4. Last one. Is there a point in repeating quests? Or should I just do them once and then grind out my levels?

3. All your characters share everything money, equipment, storage, etc. the exception is each has their own stats and skills. All stats and skills point you get from emblems are also shared.

 

Ty. Do they share learned skill trees as well? As I'm, if I buy the martial skill tree, do both characters get it?

 

No Skill trees are separate to.

1. I think the best damage dealer for toram is Mage. It is because of its skills. At first its gonna be hard to use because you gonna need mana but if have lots of mana you can use skills one after another.

 

Mana Is less important than damage, I have 5 bars for goblin farming and 3 bars for bosses. Very easy to solo but I would suggest having a tank friend for maximum damage output as well as a support mage XD
Recovering MP is fast and having more damage is worth having less MP.

Worst item you can possibly use on a dps mage is the Magicians Ring which adds +1000 MP and -25% Atk + -25% M Atk.

 

I didnt use magician ring i used mana boost. But having a tank and support friend is also a good idea. You should try it too theobald. Thx for pointing it out dioxin.

Magic wall and a swift smack is a Fire Ghost farmers best friend. You can literally smack every ghost on screen and run them around XD run away then cast 1 wall and eat popcorn XD

You can solo nearly everything as a mage, I often farm Crimsoch and Silver Roar alone just to watch the damage rise XD

Element of magic take a large role in damage. Do not use a fire staff against a fire monster lol

 

Wow i havent really try your skill build. I want to try it it looks fun. Whats your build for your mage? I wanna know.

 

My build is a near replica of Faust Mage DPS guide.
100% Intelligence Stat.
Skills:
•No Chain Cast
•Level 5 Magic Javalin
•(Gast does lv5 Explosion but I find lv10 to be better all around.)
•Max every other mage skill to lv10.
• I personally am saving extra stats for the level increase, level 70 will provide the best dps abilities known overall so I save my extra skill pt for that lvl.
•I have heard of several alternative skills that increase M Atk and other survival techniques but I prefer a pure mage build

In time there will be changes but this is the best damage mage I have created at cap. So far have deleted 4 level 45 mages as testers.

Using proper magic element item and partying I can reach 3k magic wall hits and 19k explosion hits. Valkyrie/Vulcan does nice damage but I prefer Magic Arrows 6 shots.

I have a guild smith create specialty gear for me, slotted with added Intelligence and cast speed or M Atk depending on which I need the most.

Damage is Love and Love is Mage and Mage is Toram Life XD

No problem, there are of course hidden details but with that info you will be able to design your preferred mage

We all play differently so what works for one of us may not be the same result for the rest.

Ty for the good info. With a mage, do you auto attack much? And if so, which weapon is best for a mage?

 

Auto attack using action button? Practically never.
The only time I will do that is if my mp bar is right next to 2 bars but not enough, or to smack multiple monsters and have a group chase me for a magic wall spell.

Physical attack will not be a pure mage necessity

Weapon of choice should always be picked depending on target of choice, if you fight Flare Volg then use Water Staff. If u fight Silver Roar use dark magic. Each weapon or magic device has a certain element.

 

Ty. How much does weapon damage effect spell damage? Or does it it all?
