Yes but just farming is too quiet,they need to spam Spina selling sites on the chat.

The only problem is tricking them into doing that.

 

Trick them that the server downtime takes 3 months.

Some players will use jap accounts within that time period. Spina bots will flood jap server if people play there and shout

"S) spina via paypal pm"

maybe add new system when you sell any item to sololo, a random number/word will appear and you need to enter the code to be able to sell items

 

Annoying and doesn't solve the problem of when they switch to spamming consignment board.

 

What about adding a program that can detect looping actions then auto flags them as inactive?

 

Then normal players get flagged too, especially mage farmers spamming storm

Didn’t we have a thread like this recently??? Seriously that’s an overcomplecated idea for a “simple” issue. The issue is coding, they need player profiles to test, detect and defeat third party apps, current and new. However they are lazy it’s just as simple as that. Limiting at sololo is more of a hamper to players than anything else. I sell to sololo until I can reach a stage I can farm something worth spending hours behind. Same thing with cb, telling a person who has 30+ mats to wait days to post all of it is just rubbish. Even with that imposed they can sell directly through trades which the bots do atm anyway so failure there. So we come back to the main issue, the coder is lazy to do the field work either that or he/she/it is just dumb and got the job through favors.

 

A program that checks the activity of millions of players simultaneously can overload or stress the server actually.

It's actually not that hard to make a bot for Toram considering the app doesn't even check for the program that the botters commonly used to.

You can jump on the play store, download the app and with a few taps, make a script. Easy mobile bot ready to go.

For PC it's even easier thanks to more diverseprograms being available.

You can't stop bots in entirety but you can slow them down to a crawl.

Just make it so that when a player doesn't create an account, they will be playing as a guest. As a guest they can't use trade for any reason what so ever. Next, once they make the account, they must wait three days before trade opens.

All the while, a general store should be imposed. It is actually absurd for NPC sellers to have infinite cash on hand in an mmorpgs. It's an age old abuseable mechanic. NPCs should probably limited in some way of their buying power whether by daily limit, character level limit or server limit. If selling to NPC is the only way Spina enters the game then some game mechanics need to be adjusted, namely why don't they change all those low exp side quests to give Spina instead?

Lastly, they need to adjust consignment board. Hopefully they will never implement that bullshit like alchemia. This is hard to do actually, because consignment dominates most trade in the game. You can't limit it more than it is right now because for botters of nc and such, it is actually too slow. So maybe leave as is?

Way I see it, at most it looks like you can only slow them down so much with automatic systems before manual interception is needed.

Best solution is actually to hire an in game moderator.

 

There is a difference between those two. NPC spina are raw spina, whilts board spina are money that is already circulated in the market, these bots - NPC spinas are the one responsible for the influx of fresh spina onto the market, making inflation and bunch of other stuff.

Item bots(the ones that sell stuff to players, not NPC) on the other hand, gives you a supply of fresh items and offset the spina that was pumped to the market. So we need to differentiate the treatment to these two type of bots, while also dealt with them simultaneously.

We dont have much spina sink in the first place so Item bots are useful in that regard. Dont want the item bots? We need something to encourage players to farm those stuff legitimately. Im not sure how many players are left on the game that actually do the item farming frequently. Of course once the bots are handled, it might bring back those farmers into existence but Im not sure if that will 100% happen.

This counting out the current database problem, though. The growth of numbers of players also have a significance in the dynamic of the market. Making a system that could self-balance the market is tricky


Edit: with the botted items being mostly consumables, it would further cause more inflation as the spina will go back to the market cycle while the items will dissapear. So a correction here, both item bots and spina bots are detrimental to the market. So I was wrong in saying the item bots will offset the spina influx

What we need is spina sink that has reasonable rate with the spina influx, be it with or without bots

 

disabled toram play in simulator already can solves all the BOT problem.

BOT require a PC and simulator to run the third party software, android still can't make it ( if i not out to date ), and impossible happen on IOS.

 

Just like what Yunan had been said, at least by limiting the spina can be obtained from store npc, the growth rate of spina that's been circulating on the market could be decreased, and eventually at some point of time (tho it might takes sometimes) the price will start become more affordable even for newbies.
Tho if it really being implemented, the devs should make a quest/story guide for newbies to check and use consignment board more frequent, since their only source of spina will be only from the cb

 

You don't need a PC to bot on Android. All you have to do is download one app. It's impossible for iOS unless you jailbreak.
