    Welcome!

    Introduction:
I'm sure you have asked yourself, "What is the best class?" Or "What is the best dps class, solo class, pve class, etc." If you're interested in knowing which one is THE BEST CLASS, let me tell you that there is NO best class in this game. This game offers a lot of possible character builds ranging from a pure str swordy to archers throwing daggers, mage tanking (you never see that a lot), and lastly the fake-people-who-use-mage-weapons-just-to-get-recruited-in-parties build (let me take a breath..... *inhales*). Today, tomorrow, now, and whatever time you're reading this, I'm gonna tell you how to enjoy the game.

If you're interested in that stuff, then KEEP READING. :)

    1. Builds/Guides
There are plenty builds/guides are here in the forums. I appreciate all the efforts of the dedicated writers. But I do advice to all who's reading this, not to limit yourself on the build itself. Note that it's a GUIDE, you can make adjustments to make it a more enjoyable experience. Personally, I think guides/builds, although I follow them alot, poses a pressure in your mind that "You have to finish this build to be a better player." It takes away the fun that you wanted to have. It takes away the urge of making a character that's YOURS--which is pretty much the main reason you played the game (or you just want to be another kirito/asuna )

I am not discouraging looking at the builds. They do help a lot. Like a lot lot. Because on the other hand, there are people who don't know what they're doing (that would be me) and just make a fail character. If you're going to try making an original build, the Skill Tree list [http://www.toramonline.com/index.php?threads/skill-tree-list-lvl-cap-65.181/] and Exp Guide [http://www.toramonline.com/index.php?threads/tips-easiest-way-to-gain-exp-lv65-cap.2506/] really helps. I'm gonna give you key points how to make your personal build:

Try to plan your build ahead of time. Without planning, you will waste spinas, stat points, skill points, experience, and most of all, time.

Be decisive. Pick what kind of "class" or role you want to play for the team. If you want to be a damager, then do it and don't be jealous of massive aoe damage of other classes (*cough* mage *cough*).

Cap one character at a time. Cap means leveling your character to the limit (or capturing for tf2 fans . . . ). Right now the lvl cap is 65, which may increase in the next update. Once a character slot is open, don't rush and make another character unless you really need it.

Be creative. To reiterate my point, this game has no specific class. You can be an archer with healing, swordy with mage (i dont recommend this ._.), or anything. Don't lock yourself into the pressure of having the best character. Keep calm and play toram. (if somebody would edit this pic for me, send it plez lol)

Have fun. Pretty much sums up all that I said here. So yeah.. always have fun no matter what :D

    2. Party/Friends/Guild

A lot of people want to play solo (all those kiritos/asuna) which is a very bad mistake in this game. Why would you even play this game if you're gonna do it alone? (like seriously) It's an MMORPG. I forgot what it meant, but its something about multiplayer. (lol) Not only those solo gamers want to play alone, but those who are new to the game. They tend to think that other people are too good for them or too unreachable. Here's what I say, GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!!!

    Party:
This is probably the first thing you'll encounter out of the three. In order to invite someone, tap the person, find "Invite to Party" on the list. The distribution of loots and exp are completely balanced to all party members. That means the more the members, the more loot and easier to level up. Parties will definitely teach you how this game works. For example, battling a boss, not everyone can be a mage because everyone will die, not everyone can be a tanker, not everyone can be the same class. Another note, don't ever be a leecher. Leeching is simply afk looting/lvling. You will probably be kicked asap when you do this. Don't even dare try it. It will give you a bad reputation. (some people will shout your name and say, "Zekron is leeching. don't pt him") If you're in a guild, they can allow you to leech :p

NOTE: Some people focus on fast looting. So they want a party with full mages or high level characters. If you get kicked, do realize that if you get to that point you WILL also need high level members.

    Friends:
Having friends is probably another reason why you played this game. Usually, your party members will be your first friends. Once you have friends, you can talk to them literally anywhere just "Whisper." They will probably be the ones that you will hang out with during your playthrough. Adding friends will also give you emblems with orb shards. Please don't be that guy who adds random people just to have orb shards.

    Guild:
Being in a guild is a necessity in this game. You can talk and ask questions to people. Really helpful to new players. I do advice you to find an active "international" guild. I'm pretty sure you will find your fellow American, Malay, Thai, (insert nationality here) on the same guild. Time difference can be an advantage/disadvantage. There will always be somebody in your guild to help you :)

Having a guild will give you access to the guild maze. You can get coins. Really fun dungeon to be with your guildmates. And also, as I said, they can allow you to leech :D

    3. Storyline/Quests

Game developers really think about the storyline of their game. Have you ever wondered why they always "advertise" the storyline of a game? The storyline of the game makes it different from other games. I'd say a lot of RPG gamers look for a good storyline rather than graphics. Don't tap that "Skip" button always. Take time to read the story. As you get further into the story, the rewards of the quests give a huge amount of exp. I recommend finishing the story before doing some farming. You can easily cap your character this way.

After finishing the storyline, try doing some quests. Although some are boring tbh, just give it a go. There's a feeling of satisfaction after you've done quests. A common quests that is being abused (lol) right now, is the Small Articles in Ruins. You have to kill goblins and collect small articles (not really that rare). I recommend having a party. You can also buy small articles for 6k/stack. The quest gives a whooping 11k exp!!

    4. Farming Exp/Spina/Loots

After finishing the story line (or before if you want), many people focus on farming. There are three types of farming: Experience, Spina, and Loots. Experience farming is pretty straight forward, you kill mobs to gain exp. Spina farming is done by gathering materials/drops from monsters then selling them to Sofya City. Looting is probably the best way of getting spina and the hardest way. Some people spend hours and days just to get xtals and sell them for a huge amount of spina. Killing skelly used to be the best way to level up with full party. It is still an option for making spinas though. But because of the new update, collecting bitter nuts and nisel wood are the go-to option for leveling up. Once you have stacks of each item, go to Sofya City and find Zono and do the "Overlooked Snack." Then go to Yunis for the "Timber Shortage" quest. Zono is on the restaurant looking place while Yunis is near the entrance of Land of Development.

Plus, if you have all the emblem bonuses, you'll level up really fast. Looting, however, takes time and A LOT of irl luck. Once you get an xtal (or any rare item), think about how you can use it before selling it.

NOTE: Don't be scared to sell items to the General Store. Saving items can lead you full storage/bag. Always, empty your bag before farming.

    5. Being the "Best"

First off, delete that pokemon-theme-song.mp4 in your head *deletes mine*. So, now that we're even. Let me tell once and for all, You can never be the best. (*gasp*) BUT, you can bring the "best" out of your character.

Newbie_1: But, Zekky, how can I be the "best" ?

I'm glad you asked, Newbie_1 (or whoever that guy is). Jokes aside, what I'm saying is, you can't excel or be the top of every area. For example, you want to be a full str 2h-swordie; although you are strong and can solo bosses, you aren't as useful as mages in farming. However, THAT is what makes you, YOU. (And also why there are a couple of character slots). Don't let anyone "take over" your character. Seeking advices is FAR different from letting them tell you what to do.

Newbie_2: What do I do now?

(Where are they coming from???) Obviously, put the right stats for your character. (Don't put str on a mage -__-) And remember this, Having an advantage, comes with a disadvantage. You can damage all out, but you'll be "struggling" to survive at some point. You can tank all you want, but you'll be needing damage. As I said, there are a lot of guides/builds out there, and they really help a lot. Also, consider changing your equipment every now and then. (More on this later)

To summarize this section: You can't fit everything into one character. Mix it up a lil bit. Build your character the way you wanted. If you have a disadvantage at damage, remember that you have an advantage somewhere. You just have to find a way to find it. Keep on bringing the "best" out of your character.

Further suggestions and comments for improvement are appreciated. :)

What a nice and useful thread. Yesterday there was someone asking for the best class and build in the chat. Obviously that's an impossible question because there is no perfect setting. Would've been good to redirect him here.

Rule #6. Don't farm BB solo. Ever. It sucks. And you waste a day or two. Just go to sofya or watch yuhtub. Even if nobody is there and you want the garb.

Thank you for this. Now my excitement to the game is back instead of just playing it to be really strong.

Thanks for the keep calm and play toram picture. Can I save that? for FB group purposes. Credits to the maker.

Big Brother Goblin, a side quest boss.
To fight him talk to the mayor of Rugio, he is upstairs (only staircase in the map), accept Goblin Conspiracy quest.
Then travel to Rinom Plains and you'll see BB Goblin standing on a rock. His element is fire.
