Luck Stat...

Erm, so yea. I saw someone saying that the luck stat only works for common and uncommon drops and not rares, so I just wanted ask around and see how this was tested and if there is any validity or if this is just anecdotal evidence.

 

I think it also works for rares. I run with an alt with high luck sometimes and it always has way more of everything my main account manages to acquire.

For example, I went into the maze with it. After 30 floors, I had 2 stacks of bronze maze coins, 6 silver coins and 1 gold coin.
Alt had 3 stacks of bronze maze cons, 1.5 stacks of silver and 3 gold coins.

So was that a coincidence or not?

Has anyone else noticed at significantly higher rate? Perhaps on world bosses?

 

Cryous how many points did you give to the luck stat?

 

It's at 120.

 

cryous the floor makes a difference also, every 100 floors rarer drops become a little more common.
for example floor 1-99 I would get just a very small amount of golds
floors 400-571 I was obtaining golds much more as well as double drops very often (when u get 1 bronze, 1 silver in a drop).
in the end luck does effect every in game drop but when it comes to Rares I think since for example xtals have such crazy low rates, that the luck/skill/book drop boosts really don't help much.

let's say xtal is 1% base drop. with 100% boost it will be just 2% for xtals. that's not a large increase. best way to obtain rare drops the fastest is Rare gems (the boss gems from recycling avatars) a Legend gem got the whole party xtals and 2 of the 4 members also got armor drop (at volg). Fight took a while cause volg attack was boosted 80% and ours reduced 80%

 

what I really wanna know is if one persons luck stat applies to the whole party or just them?

 

I tested the first 30 floors so drop rates should have been at their base levels.

also that seemed like a lot of coins for just 30 floors

 

I don't know if it makes any difference, but I always clear out every floor entirely before moving on. And the alt is pure luck pretty much so that may have created some sort of difference.

 

My main character have 30 luck... But I only get rare drop sometime. Its no absolute like you are going to get rare drop even though you have luck stats.

 

I used to do the same, clear every floor the first time i ever did maze. I thought 100 was last floor and it took very long. at the end of the month maze reset and I was pissed. now each month I go straight to next floor as fast as possible up to floor 200, maybe 300. then I kill all enemy starting in the higher floors. in early floors I usually just get orb shards which I don't really want. higher up I get refinement items like magic hammers and ores

Excuse my ignorance but how did you obtain this "legend gem"? Sounds like something I would like to have ^^

 

You know the avatars from the orb chests? well those avatars can be recycled. what recycling does is exchanges your avatar item for 1 item on a special list. The list has refinement items, exp and drop books, special gems you use from the boss menu (like normal gem but much better) ), you can get spina and exp also. I suggest only recycling in a max lvl character so you won't get any exp.

 

I can confirm that the drops get better the further you go. I can also confirm thats the frequency of chest appearance is higher the further you go. Chests appear pretty often when you're higher than floor 800 or so that sometimes you can find more chests in a few maps than you did for the whole of 0-99. Fine ori is much sexy.
