General ranting about new update

I looked all over for a thread but I couldn't find one so here I am breaking tradition of "lurk harder" and actually posting something.

I noticed they messed about with smithing menus a lot recently and I don't like it one bit.
Sure it's easier to follow but it cuts out a very valuable part of the social aspect of having to ask questions and learn through community means.
Also it adds two clicks per item in the town smith wasting valuable time I could be spending elsewhere.

On top of that they messed up the "trash button" as I like to call it.

When materials are maxed out I don't care about saving for later or selling.
I just want it out of my bag NOW! I'm in the middle of a high performance farm.
I don't want to stop and drop one stack at a time or run away to a store.
I want to DUMP IT ALL NOW!!! Why you gonna mess up a good thing?
I already click through the confirmation. yes toram! I know its full.....plz just put it somewhere.
(I live at materials farms. This breaks the game for me)
Im loving the new boss though and the difficulty settings. Still exploring these functions.
Good work toram. got one thing right even though you messed up everything else.

ending on that note I guess I'm gonna find a new game to play until the next update......

Imma bash u too, in lovely way.
1. It's divided thatvway so that new players wont make threads or shout "why can't I make this aemor, why BD Armor is not on my BS list!?!? bc we now know what minimum lvl required.
2. Do any of u notice when we go back from lets say, special gear menu (the one w lvl), the menu doesnt go back to the top like it used to be? Back in my days, we have to scroll all the way down, if we accidentaly press back.

Wanna get rid of the wood?
Make something (rod/bow/sword)
Attach matk%(minus) , int%(minus) , natural mp regen(minus)
Should be able to free up around 4500 wood per run... (my bs lvl 40)

For metal do
Vit%(minus) , natural hp regen% (minus) , and def%(minus)
same, 4500 pt for me.

In the middle of a farm it really doesnt help. I have a pretty high prof tec smith. I know how to burn points. What I wanna do is drop trash and keep good stuff all in a 5 second window and get back to spamming storm.

Everything is normal for me... i think...

 

I didn't point it out cause I figured it was obvious. Process materials. only effective way to dump 20 stacks of junk in a half second and get back to work.

usually it's cloth at a mana farm i'm dumping but heres an example. I'm sorry for the delay. Kinda tricky getting pictures from phone to pc. used to kik

this means I have to stop in the middle of a farm and discard one by one. This eats up soo much time when I know I'm gonna need to spend 4 hours to get the mana I need to do the job and then come back in an hour for more mana. overall it adds up to quite a bit. Dumping one stack at a time takes about 10x as long as select all process and drop.

You really don't have to discard all the trash at a time. just make a space when a stack you are collecting is near 99/30.

Example: Farming Shell Mask in Nisel Mountain:
When your stack of Nisel Woods reached 95.. discard 2-3 Stack of Woodstick/Dagger (1 slot for another Woodstick, 1 slot for Nisel Wood, 1 slot provision)
When your stack of Bitter Nuts reached 28.. discard 2-3 Stack of Woodstick/Dagger (1 slot for another Woodstick, 1 slot for Bitter Nuts, 1 slot provision)
When Bitter Nuts reached 28 and Nisel Woods reached 95 at the same time.. discard 3-4 stacks of Woodstick/Dagger.

Same with other Mats you are collecting, just discard 2-3 items to open a slot for the mats you are collecting when its around 95pcs. If you are a mage you can discard 2-3 stack while using MP Charge. I hope this will help you.

 

I've known about that trick for ages.
When did MAGIC DEVICES become stackable? It's my main farm and the fastest way to get mana so I can keep selling all this crit gear you guys love so much. I need an empty bag to farm mana. (did you miss the part where I lined out productivity? cant be staring at my inventory constantly)

 

Kind of wondering if they could just add a bulk discard button and we could sidestep this whole issue.

I was using "process materials" as my bulk discard. Used to be able to process and it would warn "the materials would be lost forever" to which I would simply confirm and get back to farming. Now it's a brick wall and I can't bulk discard.

 

I think that's a glitch. Update says you should still be able to process, except it just won't compute and will be lost. But I could be wrong... .-.

 

Or Asobismo received numerous tickets, from players, to remove the confirmation because it's a hassle confirming all the time and empowering players to keep tabs of their production line. Basically, Asobismo tried to please a certain number of players who opposed to confirmation while you have another set of players who likes the safeguard feature. Just can't please everyone. I, too, could be wrong and maybe it's just a glitch....lol

This does indeed sound annoying ._.

 

precisely what I mean. used to be a confirmation to let you know the points would be lost forever. now it just halts and doesn't destroy the items.

when you spend as much time at the cassy farm as I do this becomes quite the issue. waaay too much torn cloth and sheeting fabric to deal with. 3 clicks becomes about 40 clicks and 6 seconds proc time becomes 45 seconds discard time. when your bag fills in 6 mins regularly in a full storm party this really slows down progress. I already spend WAY too much time farming mana for my guild and my customers. this just makes it take an insanely longer time because now drop rates have decreased because the whole party has to manually discard. this means less mana/hr which means longer farms. sure I could suck it up and wreck my fingers on an extra couple thousand clicks but my fingers dont really need that much abuse. I'm sure you guys are loving the soon to be increasing c999 costs.

You know me better than anyone here and can vouch. If I'm awake and not working or running errands I'm on toram. How's the guild holding up? I've been gone about 24 hours now. Did they start rioting yet?

I put off responding to this cause you were a bit rude starting out the post.
But to get back to the point. Thank you for your input. Quite informative really.
I protest the fact that they organized it like that because I know many people try to get slotted items from the smith and that is going to be a pretty rough experience on their fingers. I remember the day Alzarith was at the smith trying to get a slotted dex ring. I'm pretty sure he filled his bag. I can only imagine how bad his joints ached in his fingers after that.

Also I said something about "learning through community means"
newbies are shy and don't speak up enough. When they shout "hey why can't I -blank-?" I love seeing that stuff. It gives me a chance to meet someone new and help out. if you looked at the screenshot of my play time and character levels you might be wondering why I'm not lvl cap. It's because I spend a lot of free time helping out newbies. When they get confused and need to reach out that's a potential new guild member who needs a hand and a solid party to run with. If you enjoy being anti-social that's your deal. I like people and can't seem to find enough of em out there. Everyone is too busy hiding in their niches. I encourage you to reach out and make a friend today.

The guild is meh right now without you or Saika, it's pretty dead. I've been organizing medicine mat farming runs and bnut/nwood runs as well to keep 'em busy

Her internet is getting hooked up tomorrow. She picked the vit smith so the update doesn't really set her back too much. I'm gonna be backlogged for days though. I know a couple new members need stats on weapons. We went international while you were gone dude. Half the guild is chinese and pinoy now. Got a couple brits and a hawaiian for good measure. I'll probably log in tomorrow and work on my vit smith seeing as I can't do much with the lack of mana. Really hope they schedule maintenance soon. And I really really hope I get orbs for this. I wanna make a weapon smith next but I need to buy a 7th character slot XD
