sofya lag gotten worse?

It looks like you haven't learned the way of the lag my friend! :v the secret is to let lag embellish you until the lag is one with you, soon you'll realize that scary lag is just a state of mind limiting your training!!!

I have to say that for me the issues started before the 4m download event started. Never had a single problem then but now crashes going into boss battles or midway through, unholy lag in towns or high population areas, and stutter steps at the start of battles toward the end of the opening cutsceans. All this on a brand spanking new s7. Given my knowledge of lag and the seemingly spotty nature of the issues and how it's effecting some and others not at all it could be our ISP's throttling or gatekeeping the servers we ping through. In other words it's important to note that not all ISP'S are the same, and same goes for each of our respective countries. Some limit how much speed you can use depending upon your server pings meaning it can automatically tell your ISP you're playing a game just by your server pings and they can slow your speeds in order to also meet the demands of other users on your Internet hub. Kind of like peak hours you might notice a drop in speed causing lag that's because of the pings against your community or area Internet hub. Yours might be drawing a lot of latency so they throttle you to better serve the rest. Other then that as an explanation it could just be so many pings against toram servers after the recent updates slowing their servers or even just plain old bad programming language

 

So much to answer so here I go.

Typically I'd agree with you. BUT I have no problem running any other game at all. And I have yet to experience frame rate issues until just today.

Well to better explain what I meant in my previous post I'll tone it down a bit so people can understand it better. Your ISP is your Internet Service Provider and as such they vary greatly in their capacity to provide certain speeds/mbps aka megabits per second. While some ISP'S claim you get this really high speed/mbps this is not always the case. I'll give a brief summary of why that can happen as well as a couple examples.

Reason 1. You have surpassed your data usage for the month. Though it's not really in the open air for you to see most ISP'S have a data limit per household. So say you do a bunch of gaming, steaming videos, or downloading at some point you'll reach your household data limit after which your ISP may throttle/slow your Internet speeds...this is mainly for in home WiFi but, also applies to phone based data plans as well. Case in point if you have unlimited data on your phone check with your plan to see if they throttle/slow your internet speed after you've reached a data limit.

Reason 2: Peak hours can also reek havoc on your internet for the following reasons. Say it's 5pm your time and lots of people in your neighborhood are home from work and school. Now imagine all of them have cell phones, TV, and computers. All or most might be streaming movies, playing games, checking their email, or downloading something. This would all go through your local internet hub that connects maybe 100 households. Well, with all that internet traffic all at once it's the same as a car traffic jam.

Reason 3: Now this is less common but it is still a real issue. Gatekeeping...yes I know it sounds odd but it's real I assure you. What it is, is when your ISP or even country is some cases wants to limit your access to the net based on what sites you visit or games you might even be playing. This is no fault of your own but rather your ISP might not have a trade agreement with the server hosting the connection or the country you're from might not like or approve of the site or game you are playing or viewing. So they slow your speeds or even in some cases denie access to those servers to frustrate you so you don't persist in using those sites or games.

Reason 4: The server capacity of the game/site you're on may be experiencing high volume which just means a whole lot of people are logged on to it and or downloading from it which can lead to spikes in lag or even just cripple a game/site. This can also be said when it comes to bad game programing and system compatibility in other words the programing of the game does not like the system you're playing on.

Hope this is a little more understandable and it's always worth checking into by simply finding a internet speed testing site and test your speed/mbps at the times you're having problems this might help you eliminate a few of the issues.

I got crash a lot at sofya

 

The crash got worse when there is an event portal present. It wasn't like that if there is no event map. That was just my intuition that the event portal is one of the culprits of the heavy Sofya crash. Thay's why I can't turn in exp quests properly, so I'll just wait for the event to finish.

 

.-. Ive also experienced heavy frame rate drops in other maps. I escorted a new member to zoktzta (can't spell it) ruins. My frame rate died. Same thing happened to me in the plains outside Rugio (the one with bb gob) my frame rate crashed while me and a couple friends farmed bb gob >,>

It can't be argued that it's my phone or my internet. I've been using the same internet and phone for months.

And I play the game considerably less now than before. While before I was playing for 7-10 hours a day. Now I play 2 hours or less .-. so it's not my service provider limiting my internet.

It didn't happen until the latest server reboot maintenance >,> not even the event. I remember farming the potums with little to no problem whats so ever with my guild mate.

It's quite annoying. >,> It's making toram extremly hard to play.

 

After every maintenance it gets worse for me. My phone is a Galaxy S4 and I've heard that Galaxy series are incompatible with Toram now? I can still play but it is really laggy. Worse part for me is that the lag invades my videos too. :/ Is there a list of decent phones to run Toram with?

Zokstsda is frame rate heavy to begin with, and I saw that as normal. There are other maps that have heavy frame rate (Underground Ch., Harde Hill, etc...), but among them, Sofya is pretty much a vain to most players now.

Rinom is not the fps heavy at all.

 

Lol the game can't handle the capacity anymore it seems.

I never had problems in sofya, never had problems in zokstsda, nisel, new moon, I never had problems anywhere.

But even low populated areas are giving me problems :'(

I wish I could say it was the update that @Precaria mentioned, But it was the server reboot.

This is a real problem. I'm helping build up a guild. We have a system of vices in place and I'm the lead Vice. They sort of need me in the system. And I simply can't play >,> not easily. My time playing is virtually sitting in gb talking to people.

 

I think that would be the latest game engine upgrade

 

I'm not saying it isnt possible but I don't recall having the problem until the server reboot .-.

The maintenance on the 17th

 

Wew haven't been playing since the last maintenance, crash crash in sofya. Guess had leave the game now... sad just bought recently c101010a7 wep arm for my snipe huhuhu. Now playing aurcus online hehehe no lag but had hard time targeting mobs and players in pvp... targeting system sucks girl char looks like gay. Very nice 3d graphics. Lvl33 archer KamoteCute. Hope to see you guys there ahahahaha.
