Toram isn't really Beginner friendly.

I don't wanna sound like the " Debby Downer" , but if you wish to reports every " basher " then that will be tough luck for you.

If you wanted to report every one of a players bashers then good luck, but if you seriously plan to take away someone's haters from any well known player then you will bite more than you can chew, even if it makes a small difference. This is trying to think realistically.

if he bashes at snipers and stormers then use pure brawler with heavy smash lol (if he bashes at brawler too, then there's only sword he can use)

 

I think he did say something against pure brawlers, he glorifies hybrid shiz like in Iruna. I was like, I dun care. Another dumbass trying to be pro just bec he played Iruna. Ugh. He basically says pure whatevs are shit and kept asking what are we gonna do once we cap the current stat. Why worry about that early on in the game + no single ideal build anyway. Different players --> different goals and priorities--> different "ideal" builds. :3 Then he said something against Asians, and I'm asian, so I reported him for abusive language.

@RPG_Neko I know we can't report every basher in the game, but just bec it's tough doesn't mean we shouldn't. We won't just simply tolerate other's rudeness.

And so i was enlightened lol, I just came from farming Roga and I pt this izanami and man was he a huge douche. Always yapping thinks he knows it all also kept on commenting insulting stuff about our builds. Like it's none of his business anyway to do so. I went here and search for his ign right away. Now I know lol

Lol ahh, oh well. what a sad life he has. everyone has his/her own right to build a char the way one wants it to be. that is what ticks me off the most with my experience with him. Tsk, he doesn't respect that notion at all.

 

True, it's funny when he's too absorbed with his own ideal build and end up being a Toram god wannabe, no one bowing down to him xDDDD The only thing he said that made sense is having balance and promoting teamwork in the game (he's one bitter tank), that's the only thing I remembered too, the rest of the things he said against other builds just went $%%#%#%$# in my screen and I didn't pay attention anymore esp I was watching a series too that time

 

Really now? Thats exactly the same thing he was telling us about earlier lol. Don't tell me he preaches the same thing to every unfortunate soul he bugs. Toram god wannabe, nice one lol XD he starts off as giving fair and sound advice to being just plain annoying so far hes the biggest jerk ive came across in game. I'll just go ahead and watch a comedy series myself to laugh this all off lol.

 

im a noob, thing i struggled most with was getting my character appearance to be.. not nooby. stuck with leather armor for too long T_T and boss armor drops just never happen for me

 

Being a newbie myself, in game and on forums (Toram being my first mmorpg), I admit it can be a little difficult but I wouldn't say it's not beginner friendly. The NPCs don't explain everything to you but they explain the basics to start you off. I have also been very lucky to run into nice people who helped me along the way with quests and answering any questions I had.. even if they may have sounded dumb to other people. Then one day I found forums which became a holy grail!! There's more information here than I can possibly ask for and tons of experienced players who seem ready to help. At first reading through forum guides and such made me even more confused because everyone was using abbreviations I didn't understand since I've never played an RPG before. I haven't figured out everything yet and I still don't know what some abbreviations mean but the more I explore the more I'm figuring out. It just takes a little time to get used to. Yes, my stats are all messed up but messing up and slowly figuring it out is part of the fun in my pov. At least I have a better idea of what kind of build I want for my next character ^^. I do want to catch up to the veteran players one day but I don't want to get there the easy way.. because what's the point?

This is the most unfriendly game I have ever played in my entire lifetime, I totally agree with you. It took me a long time to understand the mechanics and how to build and equip your character.

 

you can make weapons and armors at the blacksmith shop. talking to the blacksmith is also part of the story quest, but most people are too fast with the "skip" button and then run around with leather armor forever

 

This game is not unfriendly tbh I think it depends on how you act in this game and meet people. also how people treat newbs ..... you can either be like no FU I don't want to help you with your quest or questions or be a "GOD" and help newbs by answering their questions and stuff. :3

You'll be fine x3 As long as you're away from scammers and toxic players, Toram is fun and I personally find it a coop friendly type of game--- try playing DOTA or Battlefield and you'll see the huge difference o_o Toram is my go-to game if I just wanna chill (& Minecraft too ^^), but if I want some action, I go back to stressful games x3

 

It does take time, and omg I experienced the same, stuck in leather armor back then way too long xD I also remember feeling shocked when in the first boss battle party I joined (Astol), they were like "let's try again" and deep inside I was like "whut?!?!" (It's my first time to "farm", I was used to once I killed the monster once, time to move on to the next boss and story, farming concept was very new to me, huge adjustment on my part xD) But you'll get boss armors too pretty soon ^^ It really just takes some time
