Tips on Leveling Up? | 10/09/16

INTRODUCTION (UPDATED AS OF 10/13/16)
Holaaa! Updated this blog so that others don't have to scroll! It's basically me asking questions on how to level up and play more efficient. Like tips on where to spend stat points, where to farm, and open for more! Basically like a Q&A/Beginner Guide.

GOAL SO FAR
My goal so far is obviously be as high as my friends so I can farm with them, but also mainly use the Dual Sword skill more efficient and effective to honestly become Kirito. x

BASIC CHARACTER INFO
User — Miyakato
Level — 41 (90%)
Class — Swordsman (Duel)
Hp — 1960
Equipment — Sabre ATK 35, Rapier ATK 58, Forehead Protector, Leather Armor and Talisman (for +400 MP).

PROBLEM/WANT
I obviously don't want to be left behind since my friends are Level 74,54,64,79 and 105. I want to know thee fastest way to level up atleast up to level 70.

WHAT I TRIED
I tried doing MQs which honestly give A TON of Exp, like after fighting the Flare Volg it gave me 92k. But based on observations, MQs don't exactly have a flow. Like sudden bosses, or for example the previous "quest" was to fight Level 20 Monsters then the next is to fight a Level 37 Boss (or Mini-Boss) which is quite a GAP. I also have joined a Level 10 Guild with my friends, but they're currently busy because of exams.

 

U need to make mage, mage have aoe skill called storm that can help u farm faster. However, u need to be lvl 70 to unlocked it. My tips. Try find party full of storm then go farm bnut and nisel wood until lvl70(maybe ask ur friend to help u farm). After that u can go farm nightmare crystal (drop from roar in map b4 empress). maybe this can help ^^

 

I was told there was a storm like skill as well on warriors/swordsman called Sword Tempest, maybe roughly around 70 as well to achieve. But is there a way using my current account to level up faster? Thanks x

 

1-70 b nut farming takes about 7-11 hours Quest found from Zono
70-105 nightmare Crystals need takes about 10 hrs Quest found from Lefina

Do main quest, u will be 25 in no time

 

Hi. You can also try doing the Level 25 Challenge Dungeon, you'll get about Lv. 40-50+ in a short time.
Then if you feel leveling up gets slower, advance to the next CD difficulty.
Since you got friends, you can ask them to help you there.

EDIT:
As others have suggested, you can make a mage then level it up until at least 70 (it's up to you if you'll do Challenge Dungeon or other ways) to get Lv. 3 Magic Skills tree.
Then you'll be able to farm exp. quest materials to level up your main Dual Wielder character.

 

at Lv15 you can do the Small Articles quest -> bring 30 small articles (from goblins) to Lefina for 11k exp. this will level you up by 2-3 levels at once =(^.^)=
at Lv20 you can do the Substitute for Lanterns quest -> bring 15 fairy feathers (from roar, also in ruined temple) to Zono. the exp is not that much but collecting the items is much faster and you can easily get to Lv25 this way.

then you can go for bitter nuts. doing it once makes you Lv27, so you can do nisel wood too (both quests are about the shell masks)
getting to Lv30 is really fast with this, then you can start learning dualwield skills.
from Lv40 onwards, it will get slower, but you can get up to Lv50 with bitter nuts (in case you don't like the other quests )

from Lv50 onwards, the Pride of the Rich quest (99 nightmare crystals from nightmare roar to Lefina) gets you up to Lv70.
from then on, you need 2 quests for 1 level and 3 per level after Lv75.
(you have to complete the story quest with Ancient Empress to unlock this quest. the quest is Lv50, but the bosses are 60+, so you have to get to Lv60 with other quests first)

 

step 1) earn lots of money
step 2) spend lots of money on nc

rinse and repeat

haha jk, do mq until you defeat empress and are level 50 and above, then farm nc to level your character

 

Buy my nisel wood , bitter nut and nc. Guarantee fast level up

 

and guaranteed money debt for the next years

 

Ask friend with storm to lvl u at 360 gold skeleton u can get to 1-40 there in 2 hours or so. If u have 3 storms helping maybe 1 hour. I lvl my frIends there alpt. I mean gold skeleton right under the farming area not the very bottom

 

btw , i suggest u dont rush things while playing the game . 2 of my rl friends already quit after theyre done with their story quest since all they knew is lvling up with story quest and dunno what to do after that .

i"d say enjoy toram , imo make ur goal to reach atleast lvl 70 for now ^~^

 

If you are really in a rush, consider asking your friends to help level you via killing higher level monsters. The closest place that yields the most amount of exp/kill is at Saham Crater, killing orcs (safe place for you would be standing besides "mondan's secret passage" exit)
Or better yet, get an ancient empress' tomb tp and let your friends farm skeleton dragonewts while you stand next to Centerio Highlands exit.

@Red_Fox Substitute for Lanterns quest that requires 15 fairy feathers are submitted to Yunis. I'm sure because I am submitting them after day changes in an hour from this post xD

the story quest doesn't even cover half of the toram world.
there is much more, and if you rush to grind your level up just to finish the story, you will miss a lot of beautiful scenery and other stuff =(^.^)=

UPDATE
Thanks guys! I'm now currently Level 41 (90%) and just at the edge of fighting the Level 52 Ooze Boss. I had one friend that helped me farm bitter nuts from Level 22-30 and a friend who helped me defeat Flare Volg (MQ). I now am a duel wielder (yass) with a Sabre and Rapier, I have a Forehead Protector (I now have a total of 1960 HP) and about 5 bars of MP. Can't defeat Ooze damn, any tips on defeating him (or leveling up again lol)? Btw I think I have about 50-60 Stat Points on DEX, 15 on STR and 35 on AGI since the first sword atk is based on DEX and the second one is AGI. I also bought the Magic Skill to get power charge, and hopefully get storm.

 

Why will u get storm? Storm dmg is from Int/Matk. Better get Tempest its a physical skill but looks the same as storm or Impact if u want magic skill.
