Stat for dagger skill.

    Im thinking of creating a dagger thrower char, but im not really sure on what stat should i invest. Thanks in advance.

    Any stat as long as it enhances your ATK Stat.

    Most likely, STR if you want higher damage.
    DEX if you want it to hit more.
    AGI if you want to use it with a brawler

    all skills are based on ATK
    poison damage is also based on DEX (0,5dex+0,01atk)
    Double Stab requires Evasion (from equipment and skills, it counts as unsheathe attack, so unsheathe stats increase damage)

    you can use bowguns, knuckles, swords and staffs.
    there are lots of different daggers with different stats for each class =(^.^)=

    swords get the highest crit damage
    knuckles get the fastest attacks
    bowguns get the highest poison damage
    staffs get... i don't know. they can make good use of everything, but are not as strong as the other weapons.

    if you'll use dagger skills : (until 2H can use dagger as sub-weapon)
    Staff + STR > Sword + STR

    Wouldnt staffs get the highest atk/cdmg from str build?

    swords have much higher stability and they also have stats for critical hit and/or crit damage.
    staffs only get atk stats, if any...
    sword mastery increases atk potential, magic mastery has no effect on dagger skills.

    still 60% to 80% :p
    and if you distribute str and dex equally, it's completeoy different.
    same for 255str 255dex.
    furthermore a str-dex sword can also use strong sword skills, but casting magic with a str-dex staff is just poor :p

    The skills swords have access to is what gives swords the advantage imo. Swords have a +25 crit skill a motion speed +40%, higher stability and a flinch tht can proc during the next skill.
    Staffs hav a better poration and access to tumble skill that never misses pick which one ud like or choose a different wep it's all new territory

    dex is for accuracy, but if it were my char i would use str, int and dex.

    that works too.
    my Elusive Illusionist is a dagger mage, but the focus is speed and evasion. although the stat build is very similar: you can trade speed for power and replace agi with str.
    and since those are basically the same stats as my Spellblade from the magic swordsman guide, you could also use the same equipment :p

    mine is a kinda "face to face" staff dagger build. the setback is, i need lots of revs. coz i hate moving away from the red zone lolz
