You need to use a life potion. Try not to train them down until that point as it is difficult to get recovered, even if they're hungry they won't accept food.

When a pet is groggy it doesn't accept food. However, if you wait it's stamina will increase. The time span of that hasn't been measure exactly. Pets with strong natures like Sturdy will recover more quickly, while others take a longer span of time.
Train skills & stats, once they're full affinity & discipline you can set your skills to 100% -300% damage (if attack type). The skills are random, while fighting Warmo my fox uses aggro skill about 2-3 times before resorting to regular attacks. I use pet mp charge and it'll skill again. They seem to use their skills as they please or when conditions are met (in support skills they will heal you when you die).

It says in the description of hibernation affinity and stamina will not change meaning that no matter how long you keep them in there you will see no change in there stamina to make them not be groggy you need to put them in 1 of the 2 slots where your pet can be out that's the only way they can recover stamina besides health potions.

Yes raising it still takes some bits of time, I'll usually always spend the extra spina to give them better food. If you can afford it while training I would do so, it makes it faster for you.

Devoted natures during training seem to recover more quickly from fatigue. My main pet is devoted and was the easiest to train. There is speculation that nature affects the types of skills your pet is more likely to excel at. I.e. Timid/Gentle pets will not attack so teaching it physical skills is pointless. Following that type of nature descriptions while I train my pets, I keep ones with stat and natures that correlate with each other.

Your pet looks like a perfect matchup. Bowgun type with accurate type allows you higher dex starting potential & they're an "active" nature devoted. Nice catch. ^^
