What does the Anticipitation% mean and what does it do?

Ive seen it proc a lot on my brawler but i could not find what it does to me or to the enemy im hitting for that matters i just wnna know how does it work?

I've been testing it. It is a bit of an odd skill.

Did you have a picture of armour or additional equipment when it triggered.

I had a green banner stating anticipate and an armour picture appear.

Unsure what the effects are, but the Japanese forums speculate it might be a 15% chance to prevent enemy guarding an attack.

I can say it is not the following:

- Evasion of any kind : Magic, AOE, physical, fractional.

 

Try test it with a high hp mobs, and observe the stats if it will give any sudden rise as you auto atk the mob in background

 

Yeah, had a look. But nothing jumped up or not high enough to notice. It is an instant effect from what I can tell...?

 

could be a sudden rise of one the hidden stats (movement/motion speed) so we could easily get out of the anticipated skills. The stats seemed for dps class which means survive ability a bit compromised so i think its a sudden rise for the motion speed for a sec or two. Plus based on the gear's name ASSASSINS = SWIFTY

 

That sounds reasonable actually. I will keep that in mind.

 

I tested it. Its s small chance that you will forsee a bosses red zone even before it casts it.

For example, without Anticipate the boss would :
Auto attack> Re-position> Cast Red/Blue attack.

With:
Auto attack-- Anticipate -- > Re-Position> Cast Red/Blue attack.

So whenever it procs, always expect a Red or Blue attack following.

 

It has nothing to do with aoes unfortunately. It triggers when you make the attack.

 

Really? I wasn't attacking when I tested it out.. oh well, ill try again.

 

since we now know that it is linked to our attacks there are more possible options:
- prevent guard or evasion
- prevent your skill from being cancelled by flinch, tumble, stun

 

The Japanese forum has suggested it prevents enemy guard, though they are speculating too at this stage.

When I am not busy, I might look into it. But something is odd about it. I have had 10 minute long bouts with some enemies and it does not trigger at all, then again with others and it triggers often...

It is a mystery :/

 

If it still triggers when youre just standing you can conclude that its a passive defensive thing more like guard being triggered even youre just standing

 

Did someone tried with not attacking at all? Because when you attack, you defend as well

btw im a full certified brawler lvl 113 and the anticipation proc a lot for me when i fight big hp mobs like grylle for example and metal stinger ill take SS when i have the time to take it but its so fast to take a SS for it plus it does not show up in the battle log when anticipation procs too (

 

nvm guys i think i know what anticipitation does it cancels out the aoe of the boss or mob
